There are some clues on the show’s social media accounts and some say the show is returning in August. And there’s some sort of an activity for fans in NYC: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_zvaarhZtxm6wDwBEVAc-2uqwOz1fRK1RDfAk8A1y1HmVjw/viewform

Coming back August 6. Not going to do it any favors for the 2019 Emmys unfortunately.

I agree. It’s neither as beloved as Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad nor will have the buzz like Stranger Things S1. It’ll probably be snubbed.

Extremely Early 2019 Drama Series Predictions :

    1. Game of Thrones S8
    2. The Handmaid’s Tale S3
    3. Big Little Lies S2
    4. Stranger Things S3
    5. The Crown S3
    6. This is Us S3
    7. House of Cards S6

No way HOC is above it, come on.

BCS will be airing just too early and the fact that it hasn’t been able to win ANYTHING for it’s past three seasons isn’t reassuring. The competition is gonna be tougher next year I fear. HoC will be airing it’s final season this year and everyone’s eyes will be on it, to see how it handles Spacey’s departure. It will have the publicity, for better or for worse. They have liked HoC in the past and nominated it for even it’s joke of a 5 season. It getting a farewell nomination won’t be that surprising. As someone else said, BCS is a respected but not a loved show.

As I said, it’s quite early to say anything. It’s just how I feel.

Better Call Saul is the most deserving Drama Series nomination of all the contenders.

It was finally able to get nominated for Directing and Writing last year, so that is reassuring, as is Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training won for Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series. I think Better Call Saul is safe to return for a Drama Series nomination, so long as the excellent quality keeps up. Also, if release date didn’t hurt The Night Of or Stranger Things last year they should definitely NOT hurt BCS next year.

Agreed. I think it and House of Cards will always get in because they’ve made it so many times already. BCS deserves it but it remains to be seen how HOC will be affected by the Kevin Spacey scandal.

That’s what many thought last Emmy season regarding HOC and The Americans

The Night Of or Stranger Things last year they should definitely NOT hurt BCS next year.

Those were both big ratings hits.

(FYI I am a big fan of BCS I just think it has never quite broken through in the way that it should have with voters so I am worried how an unfavorable scheduling change will affect its already uncertain chances)

Let’s all remember that the schedule change was for quality. I’m glad not every show is worried about Emmy love. The delay is better creatively to make the best season possible.

Exactly! It is smart of the writers to take all the time they need to deliver the most complex and engaging narrative they can. With the track record the show currently has, you can feel safe in expecting quality from Season 4, and call me naive but I think Emmy voters will appreciate the show not rushing it’s return for the sake of winning some silly awards that gave Modern Family 5 Series Emmys.

Idk  how you can make that statement  when we have watched none of them yet.

I think it and House of Cards will always get in because they’ve made it so many times already

Both of them getting  in is highly unlikely. Do you think they will snub ST, The Crown,BLL or TIU ????

If the season is as good as the previous ones, the scheduling change won’t matter, it’ll be there.

I say that in confidence that Gilligan knows where the show is going and that it has gotten better every year.
