Both of them getting in is highly unlikely. Do you think they will snub ST, The Crown,BLL or TIU ????
Any of those shows could be snubbed if they have bad enough seasons. I would also predict BCS over BLL which I’m pretty sure isn’t going to do nearly as well in drama as it did in limited.June 3, 2018 at 4:01 am #1202558003

House of Cards’ nomination last year proves otherwise.
I would also predict BCS over BLL which I’m pretty sure isn’t going to do nearly as well in drama as it did in limited.
BLL won eight Emmys in a very competitive year, which saw shows like The Night Of, Fargo and Feud compete for the top prize. It’s victory wasn’t in any way easy. Dismissing it after it swept everywhere, albeit in Limited categories, would be foolish. An HBO show with an acclaimed cast that has already proved it’s mettle at these award shows, isn’t gonna be snubbed. Remember, it was nominated at the PGA before either TIU or BCS. I would even say that it was in second place behind THT. I agree it probably won’t win the Series prize, but it would still be competitive in the acting races. And that’s without even mentioning Meryl Streep’s involvement.
I just wanna say that I am in no way bashing or insulting BCS. I am just making educated guesses regarding it’s Emmy chances next year. I am sorry if I came across rude at any point. Thanks for your views on the same.June 4, 2018 at 11:38 am #1202558732
Big Little Lies will almost certainly have a sophomore slump, and I’m predicting at least one of The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things, and This Is Us will have a third season drop-off since they couldn’t handle their second seasons as well as their first (the Homeland Trajectory).
Better Call Saul has only gotten better every season, so presumably, it will continue that trend and get nominated despite its unfortunate schedule.June 4, 2018 at 11:57 am #1202558749
Let’s all remember that the schedule change was for quality. I’m glad not every show is worried about Emmy love. The delay is better creatively to make the best season possible.
Exactly! It is smart of the writers to take all the time they need to deliver the most complex and engaging narrative they can. With the track record the show currently has, you can feel safe in expecting quality from Season 4, and call me naive but I think Emmy voters will appreciate the show not rushing it’s return for the sake of winning some silly awards that gave Modern Family 5 Series Emmys.
It’s fairly difficult for Emmy voters to both be “silly” for voting in “Modern Family” in Comedy Series 5X and also prescient enough to appreciate “Better Call Saul” waiting 14 months to return over quality concerns. I give these voters extremely little credit to start out with as they aren’t all that diligent in their viewing. A spin-off from one of their past and beloved shiny toys is returning. That will be enough for it to receive something next cycle, even it it’s just for Odenkirk and squeaking by in Drama Series.June 27, 2018 at 5:30 am #1202574625
My reaction: “Daaaammnn!” I can’t wait for August 6th!
Note to myself: Don’t ever feed the trolls. Don’t get involved in others drama. Don’t let myself be swayed by others predictions, trust my gut more often!
Note to all others: If you don’t happen to like me, ignore me. It is that simple.June 27, 2018 at 7:34 am #1202574666
