McKean being nodded for this episode in guest actor drama would be as bad as Martindale’s wins. Nominate him when Chuck is given a significant flashback episode and nothing else. Being madly overdue isn’t enough.September 16, 2018 at 11:27 pm #1202633549
Episode Title: “Something Stupid”

Bumping this up since the Emmys overshadowed it otherwise.September 18, 2018 at 12:24 pm #1202636243
Last night’s cold open was the best of the series, without a doubt.

Time jump! Cast is off! Huell! Besides the abrupt ending, I thought this episode did a great job with detailing the cracks in Jimmy and Kim’s relationship. You know they don’t have a prayer in the end, so it’s only a matter of time really. Kinda wanted more with Mike’s scenes with the Germans. I’m soooo ready for Hector to get that bell of his lol. Gus’s “you get well, Hector, but not too well” is some cold shit! It’s also becoming quite clear what a huge void Michael McKean left behind this season. Sad. Three episodes left! No time for anymore filler or nonsense now in the home stretch.September 20, 2018 at 1:25 am #1202637705
I loved this episode, it was not a filler in my opinion. The depiction of Jimmy and Kim relationship was marvelous. I think that thinks with the German are going to explode.September 20, 2018 at 1:28 am #1202637708
Sorry for being late to the party but I have just finished first three seasons and cannot believe how good this show is! And how the fuck McKean and Seehorn got snubbed three years in a row while Banks achieved the opposite?
There are three options:
1. Actors do not watch it, so they nominate the two Breaking Bad names. I do not agree with this theory, because they ignored Esposito as well.
2. Actors watch it, but they do not like it that much. (My theory).
3. Actors watch it and like it, but they hate Chuck, so they ignore McKean and they feel that Seehorn does not have a lot to do (I kinda agree with that).September 20, 2018 at 3:14 am #1202637766
Most of the voters don’t watch it, otherwise I don’t understand how McKean got snubbed. There’s a passionate small group from the tech categories voters.
Next year’s Emmys should be very interesting in terms of confirming one of those three theories.September 22, 2018 at 5:18 pm #1202639129
I say that not enough of them have watched it to nominate Michael McKean in supporting, but enough do to nominate him in guest, like F. Murray Abraham in Homeland. This episode opened with a split-screen montage that was followed by a point-of-view shot with Jimmy addressing the camera. Okay then, guest director. Another show would have reeled her in. I should not criticize her too much though, as I should support my fellow half-Chinese Canadians named Chow. I actually found the quality of writing quite high in this episode. The Jimmy and Kim story has lower stakes than I envisioned, but it is heading in an interesting direction. Good for skinny Huell!September 24, 2018 at 8:25 am #1202640216
Episode Title: “Coushatta”

“Let’s do it again.”
Yassss, bitch!!! Kim is finally worth a damn right when her character will be phased out. Really liked the grand scheme to save Huell (lol), the continued exploration of Jimmy and Kim’s strained relationship, and seeing the beginnings of Saul Goodman’s legal practice take form. I hope there’s some major hiccup in Mike’s thread with the Germans soon to justify spending all this time on them. Poor Nacho will never get a day of rest from both being under Gus’s thumb and now Hector’s new surrogate around. Two more episodes left to the season. Hoping for some fireworks!September 25, 2018 at 10:20 am #1202641078
The next episode is directed by Vince Gilligan. I wonder if something big will happen there.September 26, 2018 at 7:58 am #1202641633
This is the best season. I feel like with most seasons of this show, people complain about it mid season but once the finale comes and the payoff is there, they come around. I personally am enjoying this season so much.
