This finale had some cool moments, but this was a forgettable season. It feels like they will make two more seasons. Some of the stories went nowhere. Howard seemed like he might spiral, but he was back to being a flat character in the finale. We got more time with Nacho early on, then he missed three consecutive episodes and this ended up being another finale without him. I wonder if they upgrade Tony Dalton next year, even if it means less screen time for Nacho. Gus does not have much purpose. Why was it so important for Jimmy to save Huell? Michael McKean will get an overdue nomination (but not an overdue win). Bob Odenkirk was solid, but I doubt that anyone will really champion a win this time like in the first couple of seasons. Jonathan Banks and Rhea Seehorn do not deserve nominations, but if the former could get in even with internal competition from Michael McKean, he is safe for another nomination. Remember when Mandy Patinkin struggled to be nominated against Rupert Friend?

Bob Odenkirk deserves the win. Best performance on television.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

Why was it so important for Jimmy to save Huell?

Because he felt responsible for him and because he loves fighting for such cases, in general, he loves to see himself in troubles.

The finale was incredible, it is one of their best episodes. The opening with Chuck was marvelous, Michael McKean will be a worthy guest nominee. It is incredible how well the lyrics of ¨The winner takes it all¨fits the story of Jimmy and Chuck. Tony Dalton and Rainer Bock (he is excellent in The White Ribbon) were great additions. It was the best season for Rhea Seehorn by far, Jonathan Banks finally had a lot to do, both deserve nominations, but neither one of them deserves a win. Bob Odenkirk was fantastic as always, he do deserve a win for this season, but he is not undeniable like Matthew Rhys this year. I liked the season very much, but it is absurd to call it the best on television, it is not, the feeling of filler stories it always there, maybe because is prequel after all, but it is something that I really dislike, the predictability of many stories cannot be avoided, for example, Lalo is a good character, but it is not really a thread, because we know that he is not part of the future, we know that Gus is still in power and that the lab will be fabulous and completely functional. It is very well written, but Kim and Jimmy are the only really multilayered characters for me (and Chuck). Gus is so annoying, I cannot stand him, the Spanish of Esposito is getting worse with every episode, I do not know how this can be possible.

In my humble opinion this season was not as special as I was anticipating it. I really hoped for more… I don’t watch too much television/films or anything and im a kind of guy that does not buy items that are not needed, yet I spent the money to buy nflix just for the S4 of BCS. What you can do, however, is buy poe currency and other things and items and orbs. I won’t say I’m dissappointed that much but I was hoping to like it more. I’m pretty certain they don’t win anything this year either, and I don’t think there will be many, if any, nominations..

For what it’s worth, I’ve never been a massive BCS fan, but I found this season to easily be the worst.  I respect the strong character work as always, but, come on, give me something really memorable, something that justified that season of buildup.     I didn’t feel like it ever delivered.

And yeah, at this point BCS is not doing the Gus character any favors.  His stock is going down.

Currently watching this season and I was wondering, has this show always been so wonderful? This is some of most thoughtful writing and directing I’ve seen in years. I adore how the stories often seem to go nowhere and yet reveal a whole world of moods, feelings and ambitions in one small detail – that’s precisely how life usually go.
Also, Rhea Seehorn (and the writers behind her character) is the not-so-secret weapon of the show. She’s created a memorable and so layered character. We haven’t seen Headey yet, but based on previous seasons Seehorn would be so much more deserving!

Thank God someone finally said it! I love this show dearly (I find it miles beyond its predecessor in close to every way), and Seehorn is one of the key reasons. There’s such life there.

I’m not holding out hope that this show will ever get its due with the Emmys, but am I ever happy that Seehorn will at least have scored a nomination by the close of the series.

The fifth season won’t premiere this year, confirmed by Vulture. I would assume spring 2020, but for now we only know it will be 2020.

That is actually good as S5 would not have had chance against GOT S8 this year and through various reports s5 will be BCS’s last season so in 2020 it will have a better chance at Emmys
