I think it was time. It used to be can’t miss but the past couple of seasons were very hit or miss.August 23, 2018 at 8:10 am #1202615181
Truly one of the worst television programs of all-time

Some of you are being way too hard on this show. It was a pretty damn good show at one point in its runAugust 23, 2018 at 12:11 pm #1202615330

Agreed. Plus the show does still produce some decent episodes of TV. “The Bow Tie Asymmetry” being one in spite of people’s adamance to denounce it as a directing nominee this year.August 23, 2018 at 12:14 pm #1202615334This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 23, 2018 at 12:50 pm #1202615351This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 23, 2018 at 12:52 pm #1202615353This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 23, 2018 at 12:54 pm #1202615357This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.August 23, 2018 at 3:52 pm #1202615493
maybe it’s denounced because it only got in due to the nominee changing the rules to get himself a nom, and the counters forgot about the rule change and clearly he was way behind the rest of the nominees thus the last second list change
Not what I was referring to exactly (it obviously wouldn’t have been nominated had the new rule not been inputed) but rather that many have dismissed it as “ugh the big bang theory” without watching it and seeing that it’s quite a good episode of tv.August 23, 2018 at 5:19 pm #1202615545
The Emmys have gotten slightly better with their comedy categories over the years, but lest we forget that this show is a four-time Comedy Series nominee and four-time Comedy Actor winner and gets multiple Emmy nominations every year (the show is not bad at all, but it is incredibly mediocre).
Its greatest service to television is giving actors like Christine Baranski and Laurie Metcalf a consistent paycheck.October 26, 2018 at 8:19 am #1202662182
The Halloween episode was strong and showed this perfect ensemble cast at the top of its form. Howard imitating Sheldon was spot-on, and Amy’s impression of Bernadette genius. Sheldon awkwardly attempting to imitate Howard and being exactly like Sheldon was exactly what it should have been.
Interesting that we’ve now had two comedy series with characters dressed as Ruth Bader Ginsberg–Alex on Modern Family and now Raj on Big Bang. (Raj was much funnier.)
After a slowish start, this season is warming up to be a very nice send-off year. Kaley Cuoco continues to be a master of the throwaway dry putdown.October 28, 2018 at 6:10 am #1202663338
Completely agree with the above post. This episode was a massive step-up. Not only was it funny and allowed the cast to play but also tackled the issue of bullying with nuance this show does not normally possess. My only minor issue would be that they could have finally addressed that Sheldon’s likely aspergers when discussing whether or not it is acceptable to make fun of him when he does to them.November 15, 2018 at 6:45 pm #1202676005
Very sharp episode tonight, with the cast again in top form across the board. Bernadette’s obsession with beating Howard at video games was a little thin, but her scenes with Stuart’s girlfriend were a riot.
The main story of Sheldon and Amy’s devastation at their theory being disproven was great fodder. Parsons and Bialik played the reactions ideally and pivoted effortlessly between pathos and punchlines.March 13, 2019 at 12:51 am #1202814606
