The finale has 54% on RT which is very surprising to me

    But a 9.2 on IMDB.

    They are officially tasteless.

    Renata is coming for them.

Emmy voters must bend the knee to Lena Headey & Emilia Clarke for "Game of Thrones." It's their last chance to award them. Make it happen.

Kidman, Dern, and Streep are the only safe nominations. Witherspoon and Woodley will probably not survive the onslaught of contenders coming over the next 12 months. They probably shouldn’t anyways. Streep is not a lock and her character was one of the big reasons this season was so hit and miss. Dern is the only one who was strong enough to warrant a win but we haven’t seen her stellar competition yet.

See this year’s nominations for Game of Thrones, When They See Us, and Barry. Voters have an unlimited option when it comes to nominations they just tick shows they watched and liked.

And next year a sh*t load more shows they like will be eligible. The Crown, Westworld, The Handmaid’s Tale, Stranger Things etc.

If those shows were eligible this year does anyone really think Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen, and Gwen Christie would have made it in.

Kravitz showed some solid dramatic chops throughout the season but still didn’t come close to any of the other girls. Idk why I hyped myself up

I mean Meryl, Laura, and Nicole are mega-locked and should be win-competitive, but I would argue Reese is pretty safe too. Even though for the past two seasons the narrative ends up winding down to being about Nicole, Reese is still just as much the face of the show and like stated above, considering the check-off nature of Emmy voting, I don’t see how she would miss. The year is competitive, but alongside the Crown this show is probably the biggest acting contender of the season.

Also, if I may, let me make the case for Shailene. Jane isn’t a flashy character like Madeline, Renata,  or even Mary Louise, nor did she have the arc this season that Celeste had, but still with every scene Woodley breaks my heart with her subtle choices. I feel like in many ways she’s the heart of the show. I won’t go as far as to say she’s more deserving than Dern, because she isn’t, but God is she still so damn deserving, and I really hope she isn’t overlooked. I also hope she starts getting more roles like the ones Stone, Lawrence, and Larson are offered, because I’m more than certain she has Oscar-worthy talent in her.

When will people stop seeing the Globes as noteworthy awards? They don’t reward excellence. They’re purely commercial awards. Not even the winners or nominees care at the end of the day. Everyone dreams to win Oscar or Emmy. The rest shouldn’t even exist in the first place. So, campaign for Kidman for the Emmy, cause she’s losing Globe, and it won’t be because she was undeserving.

This. Busy Phillips has had Michelle Williams Globe ever since the day after she won.

Her eyes during the court hearing were so damn captivating and heartbreaking.

Darlings, I’m going through hard times in my life and this show really helped me… I’m so grateful this exists. That ensemble… Nicole Kidman gave a very human and delicate performance and she will really fight for the win at the Emmys. Reese Witherspoon was amusing as always, Shailene Woodley was very good and Zoe Kravitz did better than I expected. Adam Scott really delivered with his deadpan performance and Meryl Streep was flawless as Mary Louise, a fantastic addition to this amazing cast. Laura Dern was outstanding and that bat scene was everything. She’s Emmy-worthy for sure, but she will split votes with Meryl.

Thank you Monterey 7 for giving me life in these times that I’m struggling so much. Thank you Celeste. Thank you Madeline. Thank you Mary Louise. Than you Jane. Thank you Bonnie. Thank you Ed. And thank you RENATA.

Thatcher will always protect your residency areas, my darlings.

LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!

Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.

If Kidman doesn’t win the Golden Globe again, it will be unfathomable to me. The last two episodes, despite Meryl getting the spotlight in the finale, were all her in her most astounding form. Unless Olivia Colman’s performance in The Crown has the secret to solve climate change, I will riot if she beats Nicole.

Really though, I think the Globes, SAG, Critics Choice, and Emmys will be kind to the show. Meryl seems all but assured to sweep Supporting Actress. I really, really hope Nicole can maintain the buzz through Colman’s inevitable hype.

    O-livi-a Col-man.

    Sophie certainly would deserve to

If this gets a season 3 , Will Mary Louise come back? IT seemed at the end of the episode she was going away for good

I thought iT was a good but not great season. My main complaint is that , altough i like giving Renata and Bonnie a bigger part in the show, the heart of the show were Madeline , Jane and Celeste. But iT feels like they did not consider that while writing the script and put them on the backseat. Jane was basically a cameo in the final episode
