Nicole Kidman was near her Season 1 best, and Laura Dern was HILARIOUS in her loud, over-the-top way.

    Incredible episode!

Wow. Still full of ham but so many absolutely powerful performance this episode. Nicole had amazing scenes with her therapist and stopping her children. Reese’s scene with Ed was great. And Shailene killed it with the scene with Ziggy in bed. That scene made out her up there with Nicole for MVP. Crystal Fox wouldn’t make a bad guest nominee.

I won’t have time to watch it before Tuesday (summer class is killing me) but I need an appreciation post. Was it good? Who’s the MVP?

The episode as a whole was sooo good, maybe better than the finale and pilot last season. I feel like they all brought their A-game and their best on the show, continuously trying to one-up each other. Renata was hilarious the entire time and better than anything she had last season. Nicole, Shailene, and Reese definitely served their best performances on the show (or at least the same level as the season one finale for the former), in my opinion. In regards to your summer class: *insert that inspirational Michelle Obama video*.

AMAZING episode. One of, if not the best of the series. Every actress had a defining moment. I felt myself tearing up several times. This show is SO good.

I know I just posted but my family and I are rewatching the episode right now (which I something I do not think we have ever done. Rewatching a tv episode right after ending it).

All the actors were amazing this episode. They do such a good job with the little moments on this show. The small scenes like when Nate and Ed talk at the coffee shop to Nicole and Meryl talking about Perry feel so real and honest.

My MVP this episode was Nicole. Her eyes this episode were so sad, you can see the pain she is going thought. Reese also did a really good job with the second half of the episode(Her scenes with Adam Scott were amazing).

Overall, I love season 2 so much and glad they could make it good or even better then season 1.

This episode was amazing all around. Quite possibly the best of the entire series. In regards to the acting, I feel like some Emmys might’ve been won tonight. Nicole destroyed me multiple times with the scenes she had with her therapist and her kids. Shailene Woodley deserves to at least be nominated. Her performance tonight also ripped my heart into a million pieces.

This was a stunning episode. Everyone had such juicy material and were at their top form, especially Shailene Woodley. My god. Big Little Lies is such a great show for transporting you into its world and enjoying the drama but this episode really delivered emotionally in a way not all of its episodes have. Great stuff.

All the mother-in-laws are a piece of work on this show and it brings out brilliant acting lol. Max is basically his father and I don’t see how he isn’t bullying everyone still (I see that Annabella got a haircut so as to not hide the bruises anymore). Mary Louise is so blatant in trying to get custody. The way she did nothing when Max was beating up Josh and reacted to Celeste definitely showed that she was probably the abuser, and the way she told Celeste to her face “I don’t believe you,” I- But holy crap on how all these reveals went down and I loved it. Overall, this episode was just…wow. Probably the best in the series.

Tonight’s episode was excellent. This show and the entire cast are just perfect. It’s such a shame that they’re all competing against one another when it comes to awards because they’re all genuinely deserving. Witherspoon continues to be my favorite part of the show. When she’s on screen I can’t look away from her and when she’s off screen, I’m waiting for her to come back. Her one liners and comedic timing are just top notch. And then she nails it in her dramatic moments as well. Kidman is great as well, per usual. I don’t know why, but her storyline is my least favorite. Or at least, the one I’m least interested in which is strange because she’s the character that’s gone through the biggest change. Woodley was fantastic here. She’s such a natural actress. That scene with Ziggy was heartbreaking, you could see it all on her face that she couldn’t hide from the lie anymore. I know she was nominated for the first season but she still feels so underrated in the show. As for Dern, oh my god. She was beyond hilarious. Her meltdown over potentially not being rich anymore was so freaking funny. Dern plays Renata so well. Streep is Streep. She’s scary in this role lol. I genuinely never know what Mary Louise is up to and what she might do. Her interactions with Madeline are so great too, one of my favorite aspects of this season so far. And finally, Kravitz did really well with the heavy material she was given! I was impressed. I’m intrigued by Bonnie’s backstory and what the deal is with her (also scary) mother. But yeah, I’m glad Kravitz is getting some more to do, and she shows she’s more than capable of handling it.

This show is such a gift lol. I’m savoring every moment of every episode because we’ll never see a cast like this with material this juicy and delicious again. Do another season please!

    Laura Dern trending on twitter.

But MERYL IS A LOCK TO WIN! Laura and Shailene said not so fast.

Every woman shone tonight. Sad to think Shailene will likely go unrewarded. She is also worthy of a win.

This was really great. I’m usually a tough nut to crack, but I couldn’t help but cry when Jane told Ziggy about her father. So incredibly well done. This cast is so fucking good, I even loved Adam Scott here. This would also be a great writing submission.

I’m already terrified of the potential snubs because of how competitive Drama Series is getting. At least SAG Ensemble is a locked nomination.

Fun fact: 2019 will be the first year that three women win the Emmy for Supporting Actress.

Same, no tv show has ever been able to get me emotional like this or get close enough to cry and this episode did that. All the Jane scenes, the therapist scene, and Mary Louise straight up saying to her face that she didn’t believe Celeste and the police comments got to me like never before. Even Adam Scott freaking got to me.
