Rhea Seehorn, this was her one chance.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

Outside of the obvious Richard Madden, Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong from Succession are miles and miles better than Kit Harrington last season. Furthermore, Kieran Culkin and especially Matthew McFayden did much more than Alfie and Nikolaj this year. The acting branch’s response to the best drama of the season is really disheartening.

    1. Paula Huidobro for Cinematography for Barry
    2. Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes for Bodyguard
    3. Cate Blanchett for DocNow
    4. Jeremy Strong for Succession
    5. Everyone else for Succession

I’d take Allen and Waldau anyday over Culkin. He had an extremely one note performance. I’m glad the Emmys snubbed him. Macfadyen did deserve a nomination though.

    • Kenan Thompson and Aidy Bryant for SNL, especially after they broke through last year.
    • Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes for Bodyguard
    • Indya Moore and MJ Rodriguez for Pose
    • Susan Kelechi Watson for This is Us
    • The disrespect shown to The Good Fight makes me angry
    • None of the Succession cast is bullshit
    • Homecoming deserved better, damnit

It has to be Richard Madden, he wins the Globe, his show does very well in terms of nominations and he misses nomination to a freaking Kit Harington.

Also Justin Hartley, wtf at that Chris Sullivan nom.

    MJ Rodriguez
    Indya Moore
    Jessica Marie Garcia

Were Jason Genoa or Felicity Huffman on the ballot this year?

    Supernatural deserves better.

I just love movies. And awards.

Justin Hartley continues to be the biggest snub for me. His performance is incredible and a total surprise for me. Chris Sullivan was good, but I think Justin has consistently done such a great job.

Susan Kelechi Watson for This is Us and Rhea Seehorn for Better Call Saul too.

I think the snub bodes very well for her in the future. The category is packed with Game of Thrones actresses who won’t be there the next time Seehorn is eligible. Plus, the Emmys have a history of nominating people AFTER they should have (case in point: Michael McKean for Guest Actor after snubbing him for Supporting Actor).

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think she’s a lock for a nomination in the future, but I predict that she’ll get in some time.

Is Better Call Saul eligible next season? Those Game of Thrones actresses will be replaced with Big Little Lies and The Crown actresses, to say nothing of The Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things, and who knows how those Apple and Disney shows are going to go over. Seehorn has only a far more crowded category to look forward to, I’m afraid.
