You can tell this “group of ten avid television watchers” watches a lot of TV with their “taken straight out of the Emmys” nominations of Ricky Martin, Adina Porter, Michael Stuhlbarg, and the brilliant Kelly Jenrette.

Also of note, the ninth season of Modern Family was one of the five best comedies of the season, Ed Harris gave a better performance than Jeffrey Wright, Emilia Clarke was one of the five best drama lead actresses of the season, Miles Heizer is the overwhelming MVP of 13 Reasons Why season 2, and the five best drama guest actresses of the season were four Handmaid’s Tale actresses and Diana Rigg.

Don’t forget Matthew Modine’s barely there performance getting nominated over Matthew Goode, Cameron Britton AND Peter Mullan.

I voted just because but these nominations were frustrating. How do you have Jenrette over Cicely Tyson or Viola Davis? Where’s Cody Fern? Why does the Alienist get that one nomination but no cinematography, visual effects etc?

I’m voting just for the fun of it. Still, it doesn’t look good when you nominate “Jan the Virgin” rather than “JANE the Virgin” for Production Design. *eyeroll* I feel kind of guilty about voting for Regina King without having seen Seven Seconds but I’m going strictly off of buzz there, I just hope I end up liking her in the show when I do get around to watching it.

Anyway, here are the only contenders I feel passionate enough to post FYCs for. Please consider:

FYC: The Crown for Casting! I would rather have voted for Game of Thrones or Westworld but both were sadly snubbed.

FYC: Game of Thrones “Beyond the Wall” for Cinematography. I preferred the writing and overall direction of “The Spoils of War,” but purely on a level of Cinematography I found “Beyond the Wall” more impressive.

FYC: Twin PECKS for Cinematography. LOL, just kidding, but seriously what is up with those typos? I know the ballot is really long but is it that hard to proofread these things before publicly releasing them? Nah, I think Versace should win Cinematography.

FYC: Hiro Murai for Directing the Atlanta episode “Teddy Perkins!”

FYC: Toby Haynes for Directing “USS Callister.” Anything to make up for his undeserved Emmy snub.

FYC: Kristen Bell for Comedy Lead Actress for The Good Place! Once again, any kind of justice for her undeserved Emmy snub would be very much appreciated.

Another typo found! Sorry, I don’t know who Nikolaj Coster-WALADU is, but I certainly do know who Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is. Anyway, FYC for Peter Dinklage in Game of Thrones. I am actually voting for Game of Thrones in 3 of the 4 acting categories. Harington, Clarke, and Dinklage all make sense since their characters are so iconic. This isn’t the Emmys, this is all just for fun in the end. I also voted for Diana Rigg here because if I’m going for so many Thrones actors I might as well check her off as well.

I voted for McRaney in default in Drama Guest Actor. Such a terrible category.

What is with the almost complete shutout of Barry? Modern Family gets a handful of nominations but Barry gets basically nothing, except a sole Writing nod? That seems ridiculous. I know we can all have our own opinions, but even the Emmys finally moved on from that stale ABC sitcom.

Laughing my ass off at only 2 nominees for TV Movie! Why even bother having that category if you’re going to fill it with almost nothing? Just please be sure to vote for USS Callister there.

Don’t even get me started on the COMPLETE shutout of all Animated TV shows, that alone should be these awards in their current incarnation a joke.

For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!

KELLY JENERETTE??? I knew it would only be a short time before people starting pretending they’d nominate her.

All hail our lord and savior Kelly Jenrette, the goddess of acting! Move over Viola Davis, the NEW “black Meryl Streep” is in town!

Kelly Jenrette >>>>>> Casey Affleck, FIGHT ME STANS AND FANBABIES!

What’s that, you all think Timothee Chalamet is so damn hot?! Why, Queen Jenrette could eat his acting for breakfast! She would have transcended cinema in a way that Natalie Portman could only dream of having done in Jackie! Her Emmy nomination proves that she will be our next President after Putin’s Puppet Donald Dump is finished! Praise be for our beloved Emmy-nominated Queen of acting Kelly Jenrette!

I think Jenrette is getting far too much hate. Good for her for submitting herself and still making it. But I don’t understand why anyone outside of the Emmys would vote for her, no one really knew who she was. I also don’t get how at least Tyson isn’t here. Tyson and Davis even made the Gold Derby awards and Tyson was only nominated back in 2015 here for Murder. That means sth! But okay, whatever.

I’m not hating on Jenrette, I’m sarcastically making fun of Emmy voters for checking her name off for a 1-scene bit. She does more emotionally than Cherry Jones, who also should not have been nominated.

For your Goldderby Film Awards consideration: Isle of Dogs for every category, especially Music Score for Alexandre Desplat!
