Oh, and Cicely Tyson never winning for HTGAWM, because let’s be honest, she isn’t winning this year either. Her best submission was for the fourth season while her best chance of winning was for the first. I really don’t understand how they haven’t rewarded her for this show yet. Ugh.

Lauren Graham not even being nominated once for her performance as Lorelai Gilmore pisses me to no end. She was definitely better than almost all the winners during that time (especially Patricia Heaton and Jennifer Aniston) as well as most of the nominees. She deserved a similar sweep as Rachel Brosnahan.

I only consider names that were nominated for the award, that were actually snubs, not just great performances that were completely ignored by the Television Academy:

Seems like this is a broad question with many varied answers.

In terms of never nominated by the academy: Courteney Cox – Friends
In terms of being snubbed for a specific season: Michelle Dockery – Downton Abbey (Season 6)
In terms of never winning: Lisa Kudrow – The Comeback
In terms of a performance that wasn’t even on the academy radar: Sophie Okonedo – The Hollow Crown

I know it says we can only choose one, but I have to mention another that surprisingly nobody’s mentioned so far.

Jason Alexander never winning for Seinfeld.
