Gilmore Girls. I would rather have had Amy Sherman Palladino’s first series to bestride the Emmys like a colossus of yore than to see her third continue its reign of error in the comedy categories.

The Emmys aren’t nominating Maisel as an apology for never nominating Gilmore Girls. If they felt bad about snubbing Gilmore Girls for so many years, they would’ve nominated the revival, but they didn’t. Even if they had nominated GG to the ends of the earth, Maisel still would’ve had the same run, because they just simply like the show.

I have not watched many “old” shows, so don’t be surprised on my pick.

Christina Hendricks should’ve won 4 times for Mad Men (2010, 2012, 2014, 2015), and she’s empty handed. She also deserved nominations in 2008 and 2009.

Honorary mentions: Carrie Coon, “The Leftovers”; Tituss Burgess, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”; Kether Donohue, “You’re The Worst”; Aden Young, “Rectify”.

    DRAMA SUPPORTING ACTRESS – 2010

    Archie Panjabi The Good Wife
    Christine Baranski The Good Wife
    Rose Byrne Damages
    Sharon Gless Burn Notice
    Christina Hendricks Mad Men
    Elisabeth Moss Mad Men

Archie Panjabi did not deserve this Emmy, but I do not remember the rest of the submissions except Sharon Gless who I would have voted for.

Great shout with Katey Sagal. She was phenomenal in that role. She did pick up a random but well deserved Golden Globe for the role

Amy Poehler not winning for Parks and Recreation is a CRIME.

I’m not counting Lisa Kudrow not winning for The Comeback because she’ll sweep for the inevitable season three in 2026, so I’ll wait for that day.

    Christina Hendricks in “Mad Men”
    Julia Duffy in “Newhart”

Julia Duffy is a good example. Julia received 7 nominations and deserved at least one win.
