Borstein would be totally deserving if she won again, but is it really necessary lol? Pull through, Murphy! Also, I don’t think Brown is taking any votes away for Shalhoub. If they actually watched the season, Brown wouldn’t even be nominated, tbh.

Agreed. Brown was good but he wasn’t “WOW” good.

He was perfectly serviceable and was good in the final scene of the season, but it’s nothing noteworthy. Would be shame if he was nominated over Zegen.

I hope Amazon’s apaprent efforts to move Brown to Guest work out. He’d be very deserving there, as he’s truly a guest. Also if he gets taken out or supporting, then that could help Zegen and McClain.

Agreed. Zeegan and McClain were vastly superior to him this season.

Canadagraphs, a website up north has conducted its BOTVAs (Best of TV Awards) for 10 years now. They are in the final round of voting in the Best Director category, and yes, they are a bit more mainstream than the academy, and in the down time between now and July, I’d like folks to comment on their choices. Most are drama, but 3 comedies made the final cut. All directed by women. They are:

Kristen Bell “The Funeral To End All Funerals” (The Good Place)
Stephanie Beatriz “He Said, She Said” (Brooklyn Nine Nine)
Melissa Fumero “Return Of The King” (Brooklyn Nine Nine)

    The dramas they face are:
    David Ramsey “Reset” (Arrow)
Miguel Sapochnik “The Long Night” (Game Of Thrones)
    Danielle Panabaker “Godspeed” (The Flash)
    Amanda Tapping “Nihilism” (Supernatural)
    Robert Singer “Lebanon” (Supernatural)
    Alex O’Loughlin “Ka i’o” and “E’ao lu’au a kualima” (Hawaii Five-O)
Eric Kripke “You Found Me” (The Boys)
David Nutter “The Last Of The Starks” (Game Of Thrones)
Matt & Ross Duffer “The Battle Of Starcourt” (Stranger Things)
Richard Speight Jr. “Proverb 17:3” (Supernatural)
Milo Ventimiglia “Storybook Love” (This Is Us)
    Jensen Ackles “Atomic Monsters” (Supernatural)
Freddie Highmore “Risk & Reward” (The Good Doctor)
Katie Cassidy “Leap of Faith” (Arrow)
Taika Waititi “Chapter Eight: Redemption” (The Mandalorian)

Can Brooklyn Nine-Nine make a dent in the comedy derby?

EXCLUSIVE: Space Force is in play for the 2020 Emmys.

https://entertainment.ie/tv/on-demand/steve-carell-netflix-space-force-446785/ (as of one hour ago)

“According to the ‘You Made It Weird’ podcast with Pete Holmes, Ben Schwartz made an appearance where he spilled the beans that ‘Space Force’ will be arriving on Netflix this May. Hopefully this includes a worldwide release and we’ll be able to watch the series over here too, and not just in the states. Generally, Netflix originals launch globally, so it’s looking highly likely.”

“Expect a trailer for ‘Space Force’ to arrive very soon, as it is expected to land on the streaming service May 31.”

Is this really an exclusive when it’s already in the predictions center?

It was wishful thinking in the predictions center up until 7:20AM ET. Now it’s official, with confirmation from one of its stars.

None of them have a shot, but the nomination’s the thing. Does Brooklyn 99 with the switch from Fox to NBC, have a puncher’s chance of getting a couple of notices?

We announced this news 3 weeks ago and added it to the predictions center. You have not met with Netflix and we have.
