    Adam Driver

Hmm I wonder why you’re predicting Driver!

Jk. I personally think he’ll cause a vote-split with Murphy but he could happen. Although frankly (I haven’t seen Girls so I can’t comment on his snubs for that show) he should already have at least one fourth of his EGOT already!

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

I just feel the need to predict some non front runners – went with Driver because I think the fact he was ‘discovered’ on TV might give him a narrative, Shira Haas because I thought she was incredible and a lot of people watched Unorthodox in quarantine, and Nailed It! just because I love it and as much as I enjoy Drag Race it’s time for a change.

None of them are going to win but hey. It’s all fun.

Eh, I don’t see people voting for Driver before Eddie Murphy, as much as I would love that to happen lol.

Watch Brad Pitt winning it lmao.

I’m really shooked with those Watchmen’s prediction for Production Design, I’m not really predicting at all

Really why? To me it seems like a no brainer?

    – As deserving as it would be Westworld is a non-starter for me.

Hollywood has lost every award it’s been up against Watchmen and The Crown for.

    – Maisel seems like it’s the new Mad Men of this category (very deserving but not as ambitious as some of the other shows competing or is not as showy). I mean if it lost last year and the year before I don’t see how it wins for the first time this year unless it has more support than I’m anticipating.

That only leaves The Crown which could result in another winner for previous winner and Academy Award winner Martin Childs but I’m thinking the show is a near lock in cinematography (unless Maisel or Ozark surprise which would be shockers to me) and I don’t see it winning three craft awards because if it did it would suggest it’s much closer in the Series race than I thought (even though there is no way Succession is going to lose Series).

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Hence why it’s a NGNG prediction. But god yeah anyone but Pitt.

I won’t be able to post my predictions until later today, but since I’m seeing indifference towards predicting tonight’s categories, here’s a little trivia about the most interesting races.

Watch out for Schitt’s Creek vote-splitting in Picture Editing, leading to an eventual win for 2018 winner Mrs. Maisel, or a more inspired choice – What We Do in the Shadows.

Westworld might score its first Emmy(s) tonight: Interactive Extension (previous winner for Interactive Media) and Sound Mixing (previously won).

Cinematography: battle between two previous winners: The Crown and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Recorded Variety Special is bound for a dark horse. While Chappelle is ahead in our odds, I’m less confident in his chances. I might regret putting the Mark Twain thing last, but Mulaney and Gadsby are probably ahead of it.

Schitt’s Creek will have a difficult night: Costumes (against Killing Eve and Unorthodox), Makeup (against Euphoria) and Picture Editing (mostly against itself).

BoJack Horseman is on its second try (for its final season) to grab an Emmy. Last year, it lost to The Simpsons.

Edit: I didn’t realize they are skipping a night. Nevermind! But expecting more predictions from you guys!

First, because aside from ”Chernobyl”, all the winners from the last years were ”period shows” and that’s me including GOT as period because, you know, it’s not a contemporary one.

Second, because ”The Crown” is a no-brainer to me with ”Aberfan”.

Third, the only awards that ”Hollywood” lost to ”Watchmen” were music/sound, not expects ones. And, if there’s one award that Hollywood can win, its production design. I mean, they recreate the Oscars from the 40’s.

I’m with The Crown as the winners with Hollywood as RU.

I think Schitt’s will win Costumes, Euphoria Makeup and Editing…no idea.

How likely is it that Ozark can take Sound Mixing? Of the remaining tech nominations it has left, I think Sound Mixing is its best chance but I see a lot of predictions saying Stranger Things will probably take it (which makes sense)

I think Unorthodox wins Costumes. I guess Schitt’s and Killing Eve could but Unorthodox not winning for something that its been praised for quite a bit in terms of the show overall would be a bit surprising.

I’m so torn with Editing. I can see anything apart from Curb Your Enthusiasm and the non Happy Ending Schitt’s episode win that.

    P. Design is between Aberfan and Maisel. I’m going with the deserving winner Aberfan.

The chaotic editing from Moulin Rouge!

I love it, I love it, I love it, but I also have my problems with it.

Nicole Kidman is amazing in Moulin Rouge!

The film won the Golden Globe and the PGA for Best Motion Picture

I think Ozark is likelier than Stranger Things here. If Stranger Things wins then it would be a bit significant considering how it lost that award for its first two seasons.

At the moment I am torn between Maisel, Ozark and Westworld with that category and was sure it was going to be Ozark but then I thought Ozark would win Editing in a cakewalk.
