Will HBO sweep these categories with Game of Thrones, Veep and Chernobyl? Or will GOT’s backlash prevent a sweep? Will Maisel swamp One-Hour categories while Homecoming takes the Half-Hour categories? Will When They See Us cut off some potential Chernobyl wins?

    Discuss. Predict.

I’m going to start off by predicting the Art Direction categories.

Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour Or More)

    1. The Handmaid’s Tale
    2. Ozark
    3. Killing Eve
    4. Maniac
    5. The Haunting of Hill House

Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Period Or Fantasy Program (One Hour Or More)

    1. Game of Thrones
    2. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
    3. A Series of Unfortunate Events
    4. Chernobyl
    5. American Horror Story: Apocalypse

Outstanding Production Design For A Narrative Program (Half-Hour)

    1. Veep
    2. GLOW
    3. Homecoming
    4. Grace & Frankie
    5. Russian Doll
    6. Dead to Me

I’d remove Unfortunate Events for Deadwood. The latter won for S2 and was nominated for both S1 and S3, so there’s some history there. I also feel Pose will make it in instead of AHS.

I think you’re right about Deadwood, I’d completely forgot about TV movies and I’d replace ASOUE with Deadwood.

But I don’t agree in Pose vs AHS. AHS has a history in this branch and at the ADGs AHS got nominated while Pose didn’t.

I don’t think the backlash of GoT will affect it’s Creative Arts chances. At least I hope so.
Even the most petition-signing-juvenile haters like to always say the don’t have a problem with the crew of GoT but specifically with D&D. And fanboy things aside, I don’t think there is something that compares to it inVisual Effects, costume design, production design etc.
The interesting thing will be to see if it wins casting, since there was not a single new cast member this season yet it seems that whoever wins Directing also wins casting in the last decade, and I’d like to think Sapochnik is still some sort of a frontrunner in that category.

If GOT loses anything, I’ll riot.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

Succession will win Casting and probably Directing too.

I get this feeling too, but I still try to stay optimistic for Miguel. He absolutely deserves it and regardless of what o personally think of the episode, I don’t think it’s fair he’ll “suffer” because of the other aspects of it

Veep sweeping at the CA Emmys? Nah, I don’t see it. Barry maybe.

Maisel will do well. I’m just talking about for an HBO comedy.
