For sure, but the academy board or whoever should be stepping in here. Something should not really be period in some categories and contemporary in others, just as nothing can be a comedy in some categories and drama in others simultaneously.

I’m watching the Series Warrior and thinking that it could win Main Title Design if Academy voters find GoT open titles to be Being There, done that just like they did last year with Westworld…. And how is Warrior not nominated in Stunt Coordination, Costume, Picture Editing and Production Design?

The Oscar needs to get rid of the preferential ballot so it can name a deserving movie as Best Picture again.

Yep. I enjoyed Warrior a lot. Sure some storytelling missteps here and there, but nothing too big and overall the show looks impressive, the fights are phenomenal and with that finale I feel like this is just the beginning for this show.

I always had a soft spot for martial arts movies or tv shows. Now that Into the Badlands is gone, Warrior is a solid, and in some aspects much better replacement.

I think that this is from the same people who did Banshee, another Series who deserved a bunch of Emmys but that ended with just one for Supporting Visual Effects.
