I’ve been waiting for this show since Langford was announced to lead it back in 2018 (!!!). A summer release suggests Netflix isn’t betting on it as an awards player, but Langford did get a Globe nomination for her work on 13 Reasons Why (for which she, Dylan Minnette, Alisha Boe and Kate Walsh have all been Emmy snubbed for). With so many other shows being delayed right now, it could break into some series categories if well received.

It appears to be Netflix’s second push for a Game of Thrones-esque type of fantasy show after The Witcher. Definitely looking forward to it!

No matter how this show ends up, Langford as the Lady of the Lake is an absolute chef’s kiss of a casting choice.
