I was about to say this isn’t the Golden Globes then I remembered even they snubbed her.

It can still get Comer, Oh and Shaw in and a Series nomination is a long shot but Killing Eve has officially passed away in the writing category. At this rate even Mr. Robot is probably ahead of it.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

Imo, only Oh and maybe Shaw are getting in. Emmy wouldn’t risk backlash in this climate and the lead category is already too stacked to nominate two actresses from a show that isn’t going to  get series, directing or writing noms. Or they just nominate shaw and call it a day

    No Comer?

IF there is room for only one actress from a lackluster season, my guess is they will go with the safe bet in this current climate, especially after the visible backlash. But probably both will miss with the way the show in general is falling out of favor everywhere and attracting too much controversy. Fiona had the best material this season but her category is also very competitive.

Y’all are overdoing this backlash. It will be forgotten in a week and I’m pretty sure plenty of writers room are, sadly, similar. This isn’t Big Little Lies level of controversy.

Killing Eve was already over in writing so I doubt this impacts any noms.

Yeah this backlash is irrelevant. Killing Eve was already getting shutout without it.

Why aren’t people predicting Miley Cyrus for Drama Guest Actress? She’s obviously winning the category. 🤪

    Cause she’s terrible.

We were mostly talking about the acting noms only and if they will be shut out too after this

They are not snubbing Comer because of this.

Just for clarification I was saying that despite it already having bad chances in writing its chances are probably over because of the scandal. I wasn’t talking about acting or Series.

Moving on I wonder if Succession will submit three episodes for writing. If so will it get all three of its episodes and will it still be able to win writing. I would say it could still win Writing unless one of those episodes submitted is Tern Haven, which in that case it would most definitely split votes and I would say The Crown would probably be the only show that can benefit.

It’s funny that many of you write that this backlash is irrelevant. Why would that be? Just because things happen to an Asian actress in Hollywood, it won’t be irrelevant. And we don’t have to “move on” from it. The issue will only be irrelevant if we let it sweep under the rug.

What about shaw? I rlly am curious about her  chance since it was seen as the only saving grace of s3.
