I hated how Years and Years was between Our Boys and Catherine the Great. If it was pushed, it would get in. Last year, Netflix did the same for The Haunting of Hill House.

Maybe Euphoria could get like a directing nominations, because of the Levinson name? It’s not Barry Levinson, but close enough lol.

Is predicting The Handmaid’s Tale to get only one guest nomination really more odd than predicting it to get its most yet for what was universally regarded as its weakest season (and which aired a year ago)?

House of Cards recently went from five to zero the very next year.  There was that year when Mad Men went from six total acting nominations to three.  These things happen. Luca is predicting Westworld to go from five acting nominations to zero, right?

And This is Us to go from seven to three.

Hey, I said I find it strange that our odds are only forecasting one nom. No need to break down my predictions because of that, lol.

I understand the point that’s being made, of course. I don’t think THT is over though – and obviously neither do the two of seeing you have it getting 5 acting noms.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

The fact that people are forecasting Alexis Bledel to be the only guest nom for THT is kind of hilarious.

“The fact […] hilarious.” People were mocked!

I guess I should put IMO or highlight “I” in every post I make now because they obviously affect people to the point where my predictions are being openly sized up (lol).

Jokes aside, I concede that my phrasing was misleading.

    I doubt it.

It could definitely pop up in cinematography, production design, contemporary costume, hair/makeup, music supervision, original song, and (maybe) picture editing, though.

Although it’s not the top priority, there is clearly still somewhat of a push behind it.

I’m not taking Sullivan too seriously because while he had a big episode about him last time, everything I’ve heard about him this season says that he didn’t have much to do.

Not true, he had a lot to do and several big storylines. With the other 3 male characters been all in lead, he will have an easy access to the category, so it is very possible.

Less of a thing with the unlimited balloting, but I do think that Chris Sullivan is helped by Justin Hartley moving to lead.  I am reminded of when Mandy Patinkin missed for the post-Brody fourth and fifth seasons of Homeland when Rupert Friend was almost a borderline co-lead competing against him in supporting; Claire Danes was nominated for both of these seasons.  Then Friend moved to lead for the sixth season and was not in the seventh and Patinkin was nominated for both of those, even as Danes was snubbed for both.

Maybe it’s just because most of what I hear about This is Us comes from these forums and people on Gold Derby don’t seem to be big fans of his performance.

Ag the very least people on here weren’t happy about him making it in over Hartley.

And the episode where he’s trying to connect with his infant son, damn it broke me.

I’m not ready for the end, but glad it’s gonna be in the peak of the series.

I’m glad they’re not dragging it out forever.
