They tied for the most acting nominations received by a drama for its regular cast members in a single year and only three other dramas have ever achieved that, the last being The West Wing in 2002. They would have won easily last year.

They would´ve won last year in a cakewalk lol. Nobody gave a shit about any of the other shows, regardless of GoT8 being a disaster.

I disagree, the writers and the directors refused to reward the show for both season 7 and season 8. The actors only rewarded Dinklage. SAG NEVER rewarded the show, it is impossible to be that certain that it would have won Drama series if only actors voted.

Thanks! Wow… I wonder how many voters are actually thorough and don’t just vote for the popular people or their friends.

    None.

The self pain Ozark has caused itself in Directing and Writing is horrific. I think whilst Succession is winning writing (as it always was going to) The Crown is winning Directing.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

Lol, now? That sounds like you thought Ozark had a chance at winning, which would be ironic given that you didn’t even think it could get nominated. Succession was always going to win this.

Ozark was never going to win writing regardless.

But Ozark and The Bore submitted the same number of episodes in directing…

I also think people are jumping to conlusions way too quickly. Ozark can easily still get nominated for writing and directing. This show got two directing noms in 2018 for a first season very few cared about. Imagine how different it is now. If people claim BCS can pull through with Bagman, then Ozark can with Fire Pink.

Yeah I mis-phrased there. I meant whilst Succession is winning writing I don’t think it is winning Directing. The worst case scenario for Succession in writing was 1st place lol.

Yes but with Bateman on the ballot not only does Ozark face vote splitting with two episodes it’s almost as if it faces it with three. Succession will nonetheless vote-split in directing because of Boar on the Floor whilst The Crown has submitted one of the most acclaimed pieces of television (Aberfan) this year. I don’t see The Crown losing.

No one is saying Ozark is not getting nominated for Directing lmao. It’s just not going to win with two episodes + Bateman on the ballot.

Better Call Saul has always had writing support (at least from WGA). Ozark has never.

I mean if you’re making this argument with Ozark and writers you should be predicting Succession in acting IMO.

    It could absolutely still win.

I still think Succession is taking writing, directing, and series, though.

Ozark might win writing and/or writing.
We shouldn’t underestimate it once more

Are you going to pull this some stunt on everyone? I’m predicting 3 Succession actors to get in, perhaps even 4-5 when we can predict 8 in supp. actor and actress.

Your scenario entails that Ozark definitively gets 2 directing noms and Bateman gets in for The Outsider. What if this doesn’t happen? The Crown can win directing, but I’d like to warn that in the same way that Ozark won’t have Bateman on the ballot The Crown won’t have Stephen Daldry.

Succession is not losing writing with a single submission.
