I can’t wait to watch season 2 then. Just finished Season 1 and thought things started to heat up by episode 5. Prague and Vote of confidence were my favourite episodes of the season. Looks like season 2 is going to live up to the hype.

I am not on the Jeremy strong hype train as of yet.Logan and Ewan do it for me.

Here’s the tea… Succession should be winning Drama Series for the second time this year.

Just for fun I’d thought I’d share SAG-AFTRA’s stats on viewership of each of the SAG at Home Drama contender videos (with the context of when they were dropped onto YouTube as of writing) : – Penny Dreadful : City of Angels (2 July) – 115 views – Giancarlo Esposito, Better Call Saul (1 July) – 1k views – Billy Porter, Pose (30 June) – 251 views – Rhea Seehorn, Better Call Saul (30 June) – 5.5k views – Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul (29 June) – 9.9k views – Christopher Meloni, The Handmaid’s Tale (week of 26 June) – 110 views – Cynthia Erivo, The Outsider (week of 26 June) – 1.8k views – Nathan Lane, Penny Dreadful : CoA (week of 26 June) – 595 views – Brian Cox, Succession (week of 26 June) – 925 views – Bradley Whitford, The Handmaid’s Tale (week of 26 June) – 699 views – Jeremy Strong, Succession (week of 26 June) – 3.1k views – Mark Duplass, The Morning Show (week of 26 June) – 545 views – Sarah Snook and Nicholas Braun, Succession (week of 26 June) – 2.3k views – Jennifer Connelly, Snowpiercer (week of 26 June) – 7.3k views – Matthew MacFadyen, Succession (week of 26 June) – 1.2k views – This is Us (week of 26 June) – 1.5k views – Dafne Keen, His Dark Materials (week of 19 June) – 5.5k views – Ann Dowd, The Handmaid’s Tale (week of 19 June) – 1.9k views – Matt Bomer, The Sinner (week of 19 June) – 3.3k views – Tobias Menzies, The Crown (week of 19 June) – 12k views – Gugu Mbatha-Raw, The Morning Show (week of 19 June) – 1.4k views – Ozark (week of 12 June) – 129k views – MJ Rodriguez, Pose (week of 7 June) – 855 views – Adam Scott, Big Little Lies (week of 7 June) – 1k views

Not that it has any baring on who gets nominated but I find it strange that multi SAG nominated The Handmaid’s Tale only has a total of 2.7k views from its SAG-AFTRA videos from 3 videos whilst SAG snubbed Succession has a total of 6.3k views from its last three videos alone.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

It definitely should’ve been between those two season 8 of GoT is probably the worst series win ever.

I think we can tell now that you hate Succession 😉.

Although I agree that Pose vs Succession a tough one. I really loved Pose season 1 and Succession season 1 equally. I probably would have given Succession the Series, Writing and Directing awards, Pose Actor and Supporting Actress, Killing Eve actress and GoT Supporting Actor.

I don’t, it’s currently my pick for Best Drama Series this year. I think it’s very well written, I’m just not as much as a fan of it as people here, especially acting wise.

I see you’ve edited out the emoji I put in that implied I was semi-joking.

The thing is you say this often but you don’t seem to actually say anything positive about the show at all on here. In fact you seem to say mainly negative things about it (especially on the Succession thread). I mean you don’t need to love every aspect of the series or openly show it’s your pick for Drama Series but even when posters on here make jokes about the show etc you seem to take it a bit too seriously (i.e. Kay’s post about Succession deserving to win Series last year).

If Better Caul Saul couldn’t win a single thing last year… I doubt it ever will.

It’s not about SAG. It’s about the fans who love these shows… they are the ones who watch these videos. Ozark got over 100k because it’s super popular.

Not when Pose was also nominated.

Bye, that one was nowhere near a win. I think 2% helped that show and Bodyguard last year. At least Succession was probably second or third place.

I have a feeling Tobias Menzies is comfortably in. He’s been doing a lot of campaigning and is in the SAG ensemble winner. Also his performance has been highlighted by many audiences and critics alike as being the standout of this season so I don’t see how he misses.

I care? Quality wise I thought Pose s1 was better.

I didn’t, it disappeared when I quoted it. Try to quote your own comment and you will see.

I wasn’t joking. I believe Succession was the best of all nominees last year, followed by Ozark. I’ve never seen BCS.

I know but I think its pretty telling that a show like Succession (which has less reviews on IMDB than The Handmaid’s Tale) has had more viewers watching their videos on the SAG-AFTRA page. I mean we’ve used the argument of popularity as saying Succession won’t get acting nominations but is it really that much of an impairment for the show?

I mean you probably weren’t joking but what I meant was it wasn’t as if by expressing your own opinion you were saying something so offensive.
