I mean, with unlimited slots, they can check off her twice. I swear if she misses for this and is nominated for THT… People will call me crazy, but she single-handedly stole the season for me. She better be nominated.

I agree. It’s a shame Holly Hunter appeared in too many episodes otherwise she could have won Guest Actress (and it’s an even further shame that she probably will be the second to last Succession actress in terms of chances of being nominated in Supporting Actress).

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

I really don’t think she’s getting a double nomination. She either gets in for Succession or gets completely shut out. I just don’t see her getting in THT this year. And I hope she doesn’t. We also don’t have any clue how acting branch will react to Succession, thats another reason why I have her getting snubbed but I don’t know. I think we will have a lot of surprises come nominations morning.

I think this year we will see surprises with the acting branch. I think apart from Ozark and The Crown (which will overperform or perform reasonably well as they would in normal times following their SAG successes) there is a possibility that shows that got snubbed at SAG for ensemble (Succession, This is Us, The Morning Show to name a few) might over-perform whilst shows that got in at SAG (Big Little Lies, The Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things) might underperform with the acting branch to the extent one of them may almost be shut out.

Not liking a performance or thinking it isn’t deserving compared to its competition, or at all, is not being an hater.

Viola looked stunning in this whole photoshoot.

I feared people would just respond with cheap answers (which have nothing to do with the cover), that’s it. I’d be happy if I am proven wrong!

Erm, my post wasn’t awards-related, I been hearing these assumptions about Ozark being the most popular show of the year/on Netflix here and stuff when in fact nothing really backed these up anyways…

But no one said it was the most popular show of the year. One of, yes, but the no. And 15 out of how many thousands of shows on Netflix is very good lmao (something The Crown can’t relate to).

This list is for 2020. The Crown was released in 2019. Stranger Things isn’t on the list either…

FYC Emmys: Helena Bonham Carter (Drama Supporting Actress), Olivia Colman (Drama Actress), Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh (Drama Actress), Fiona Shaw (Drama Supporting Actress), Zendaya (Drama Actress), Alexis Bledel (Drama Guest Actress)

Well my drag was a flop lmao.

Oh well, just looked it up and The Crown wasn’t even in the top 20 last year. So I guess my point still stands.

The popularity of Ozark has been exaggerated on these forums, bringing up The CrownART was irrelevant but anyways…

It’s the most viewed of the three frontrunners so it’s not exaggerated, one of which is The Crown, case in point to why I brought it up.

Yes, The Crown is not one of the most popular shows on Netflix. But tbh I don’t think anyone ever disputed that, unlike Ozark. At end of the day, popularity doesn’t translate to awards and lets also not forget Netflix has a bunch of shows that aren’t even originals.
