    A million times this. I don’t buy it at all. I can even see Aniston winning, but this whole overperformance thing people are predicting – I don’t buy it. Maybe 10-15 years ago, but not now.

    I am, somewhat controversially, not even predicting Aniston to be nominated tbh.

    That’s bold considering the SAG Drama Actress winner has never missed in history

    It’ll be funny if we all end up agreeing that it’s Linney vs. Aniston and then Colman still wins

    @forardswill

    There’s always a first!

    I understand she has a strong chance and I may end up adding her in the end – just not convinced as of now. I am waiting to see how Apple plays the campaign, given that this is their first go-around.

    I hope the Emmys vote tastefully and give it to Linney or Aniston.. Colman always has next year.

    Colman only has this and next year. The other two are likely gonna have more opportunities to win.

    I personally liked Colman and season 3 a lot more than the other people on these forums.

    But why do they have to reward Colman at all? I mean they didn’t reward Sandra Oh (on her 10th nomination) and went with her co-star (on her 1st nomination) instead. And here I could list another 30 names who deserved the prize but never got it or did not get it for a role they should have. I don’t think the TV Academy is sentimental.

    This lol. But I think nominations will be really telling of who is winning anyway. Let’s just say if Carrell and Witherspoon gets in then Aniston is winning, while O Connor getting in would show strength for Colman.

    I honestly don’t understand how even fans of Colman’s would want her to win for this particular performance in this particular season. She’s given sooooo many better performances (when she had better material). I mean, even Broadchurch, in which she gives one of her best performances EVER. This drama actress race is simply too stacked for someone to win for such an underwhelming season. And please don’t tell me she’s overdue. She isn’t Moss, who had 9 freaking noms when she won; she has two (!), one of which was nothing but a coattail nomination.

    I’m rooting for her and I’m not doing so out of any narrative. I just think she gave a great performance. And you shouldn’t say someone’s unworthy of a win just because they’ve been better in other stuff.

    Guys, let’s not forget the whole academy is in quarantine watching Ozark right now. The Morning Show sure had its appeal last year and everything, probably lots of members watched Aniston’s performance. But, c’mon, the percentage of academy members watching Ozark is probably massive. We tend to watch what just got out, not what’s been there for months and we just keep postponing.

    Fair enough.

    Should I start watching Ozark? I’ve seen a couple of episodes back then but didn’t like it. Y’all keep hyping me up with this. Is it a prestige drama?

    Does not reinvent the wheel but it’s quite entertaining.

    If someone wins for a lesser performance than their usual standard and the competition has a better performance then said lesser performance. That should be deemed as unworthy. There’s too many good actors that had been snubbed and it’s annoying when people go with the status quo because it’s seen as the norm.
