How could I forget about Sarah Paulson! Yes she is coming.

Am I the only one who thinks Ratched is a bad idea? Nurse Ratched is a great villain in the original story, but I’ve never really felt interested in learning her story, maybe because she’s cold and unemotional, and I feel like that typically (although not universally) doesn’t result in a very good protagonist. I’m also not all that big into the villain backstory narrative. Often times, I feel like exploring villains in too much detail takes away their allure, some examples being the origin stories for Hannibal Lecter, Darth Vader, and Maleficent.

Not that this stat really means anything but Fleabag only has 65K votes months and months after its series win. Clearly, being a “blockbuster” is not necessary to win the top prize.

Also regarding Fleabag, it had 25k votes day before the nominations were announced. (15 July 2019) That’s that’s only 1k more than Succession has right now.

Regarding acting races and Ozark for now I still think it’ll win one acting Emmy with how they like to spread the wealth lately and it’ll depend on which one will The Morning Show win lol.

So Linney and Crudup or Aniston and Pelphrey + Cox/Strong in Lead Actor and Carter in Supporting Actress.

but it was more talked about and is more known than Succession, that’s just a fact tho.

I mean….maybe among teenagers (and those that date them). Not to Emmy voters.

Sarah Paulson isn’t gonna be a big thing with Ratched, that show ain’t getting near the Emmys, it’ll be a fan thing, nothing more.

I love Sarah Paulson and I’m aware that she has many loyal stans here, but she’s not constantly great, most of the time she’s serviceable at best.

Let’s not forget how y’all dI’d defend her back in 2018 that she’s Emmy royalty and she’ll get in for Apocalypse…

I disagree about Paulson not being consistent. She for me is one of the best actresses not just on tv but of all time and there are moments where shes been in projects that aren’t the greatest but shes always been the best thing about them. And I do think Ratched has to be at least considered it is ryan murphy and hes an awards magnet

I think most of the people including me are excited about Ratched because it’s giving AHS: Asylum vibes.

Murphy getting his hands on a cinematic classic is tragedy enough – let’s not compare it to AHS.

I honestly cannot even follow this Colman argument anymore.

Look, some people liked her performance, some didn’t. Some thought she suffered in comparison to Foy, some didn’t.

She’s in the mix to win but may not make it past Aniston (if you’re buying that argument) or Linney.

    Please let’s move on!!

I think Garner is more likely to repeat than Newton. Still I’d vote for Newton.

I love Newton and so want her to win again, but I feel as well that Garner is repeating, Ozark has so much buzz right now and Westworld has buzz but to a lesser degree.

If it does end up like Asylum I’ll be very happy because it was a a masterpiece and hopefully Sarah can win another Emmy to make up for the one that she tragically lost for Asylum
