I’m yet to see any performance that compares to Aniston’s in this category.

As for Witherspoon, she was outstanding in the first three episodes and more than earned a nomination with them. She should not be punished for the fact that she was lumbered with a marriage subplot that some people found a bit stale (I thought it was beautifully and realistically told). Sometimes I feel like this forum forgets that the award is “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series” not “Outstanding Amount of Material by a Lead Actress in a Drama Series”.

Ugh I really do want Aniston to take drama actress though – or, of course, any one of Moss, Linney or Davis (but Moss and Davis aren’t happening). I just don’t want Colman to win. She doesn’t deserve to win for such underwhelming material; she deserves to win for a knockout season (which I’ve said before), which I hope season 4 is.

    I completely agree with this.

I still don’t get how people can predict Moss in actress and Handmaid’s in series but not a single supporting actress from the show. I adore Moss, but the supporting players make this show IMO. Dowd and Strahovski are marvelous. And if they liked S3 enough to check it off in drama series, then they’re gonna check these two off too.

Exactly, especially Strahovski. She has established herself as the fan favorite performance of the show, and any voter that has THT high ranked will nominate her. I think a lot of people underestimate fan favorites when they have proven to be strong under the new system (Maslany, Comer…).

I also just loved that character. She deserves to win just for that scene in the finale where she throws water in the guy’s face. That sent me.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

I think we are going see to 7/8 nominees in multiple categories this year. There is a high chance Drama Actress is simply :

    Colman
    Aniston
    Kidman
    Comer
    Linney
    Moss
    Oh
    Witherspoon

I’ve said this before, but I think we are underestimating Witherspoon coattailing, especially if The Morning Show is a Series nominee. I don’t see voters nominating the show, Aniston, Crudup and leaving Witherspoon out (even Carrell is possible). I don’t know if some FYC events will be able to happen in some capacity, but if they do Witherspoon is always going to be there during the campaign for the show. They will nominate her if they think highly of TMS, at least highly enough to nominate it in Series. She has become a total non factor for BLL and I don’t think she has any chance of vote splitting with herself.

I think this and him getting a SAG nom will be the exact reason why Billy Crudup wins this year for The Morning Show not only does he have the performance but his character is really likable.

and that’s why Sarah Snook should be getting nominated!

Every site on the internet has this Seehorn talk every year and people still don’t learn.

Regardless of whether you think she’ll get in or not (I think a surprise is possible, but I’m not predicting it), the idea that people are being told not to talk about her on this forum is absolutely ridiculous. If someone thinks Seehorn is getting nominated and/or deserves the nomination, they have the right to say so.

The thing is people keep reiterating than she can sneak in or that she can finally happen. It’s just tiring and repetitive when her best chance to get nominated was last year and she didn’t happen. Nobody wants to continue to hear how and why she’ll happen when it’s clear that she won’t. If you want to say how deserving she is, then say it. But don’t follow it with some scenario that she’ll happen because BCS watchers won’t not vote for her after seeing her performance.

Yes, they have a right to say that she deserves, etc., as do people who say that it’s hopeless to come up with baseless arguments as to why she’ll get in after years of showing that the Emmys don’t watch the show. People can say that it is tiring.

I’m not saying that people can’t say the talk about her is tiring. I’m talking about how Jays told everyone to stop talking about her. If you don’t want to hear about her, then ignore the comment, but don’t tell people to not express their thoughts and opinions.

“Rhea Seehorn killed it again on the last Better Call Saul. I know it’s gonna happen, but I’ll still be upset when she gets snubbed.”

“Rhea Seehorn and Alison Brie need nominations ASAP.”

“I still don’t think she’ll get nominated, but I’m ready to give Rhea Seehorn the trophy after last night.”

“Also, despite her snub last year, Seehorn should be listed higher. This is probably her strongest season yet. Yes, her missing out was bad, but I still say that’s not due to her necessarily being a weak contender, but because of the overwhelming love for Game of Thrones.”

“I know she’s never been nominated and voters have never been crazy for Better Call Saul, but Rhea Seehorn is becoming more awards-worthy than ever. She’s too good to be snubbed for a show that continues to get series nominations: there must be some hope for her, right?”

“Amazing performances by Freddie Highmore and Rhea Seehorn in this week’s episodes of The Good Doctor and Better Call Saul. I already gave up waiting to see them at the Emmy, but at least we always have the Gold Derby Awards and the Critics Choice Awards to remember them…”

The thing is whenever you guys talk about Rhea Seehorn, it’s almost never about the predictions. These are comments made in the past 7-8 days in the predictions threads whenever Seehorn has been mentioned. Just these. I haven’t omitted everything. All of them are just crying over her coming snub or circlejerking over her. Tell me again, how are these relevant to these threads? At least with other fringe contenders there’s an actual conversation of why they could be nominated or not. With Seehorn, I have hardly seen anything except some occasional because she’s deserving. If there’s nothing to add then why bring her up unnecessarily again and again? It’s no different than Guest crying over Kristen Bell. That’s what I take issue with.

LOL I support the Seehorn stanning.

Let’s not police which predictions/performers are allowed to be discussed and which aren’t.

That said, I’ve been burned too many times to predict her again after last year.

If that’s what you call discussing predictions….

You all can put Gerald McRaney into your guest actor predictions. I thought he’d only make a cameo in the TIU finale, but he uttered another lengthy, heartwarming monologue

Its completely different from Guest. I think Seehorn’s fantastic, but I’m not shitting in other contenders that I’ve never seen just because they have better odds than her.

Comments about Seehorn as just as relevant as comments about any actor in contention. Like I said, if you don’t want to hear about Seehorn, then don’t read posts about her.
