For those predicting a Morning Show under performance like myself, who do you have winning supporting actor?

Ryan Murphy is successful at awards shows only when he works with FX…

    I guess Glee doesn’t exist.

As for supporting actor, I’m still expecting a Crudup win but if it’s not him then it’s got to be Pelphrey, right? Top 3 show, big baity performance, no internal competition.

    ???

Glee got a year-leading 20 Emmy nominations in it’s first season along with winning the Globe for Best Comedy twice and the SAG for Best Ensemble (which it was nominated for four consecutive years)

Murphy has even being able to get less critically acclaimed shows like Scream Queens and The Politician globe nominations.

And Ryan also made The Normal Heart as well.

I feel some people here just make random claims without even fact checking it because it fits their narrative/argument.

As for Ozark’s chances in Directing, I bet on Jason Bateman for the season premiere and Alik Sakharov for the season finale.

Emmys FYC: Freddie Highmore in Best Drama Actor for "The Good Doctor", Jane Levy in Best Comedy Actress for "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist", "What We Do in the Shadows" and "After Life" in Best Comedy Series, "Ozark" and "Better Call Saul" in all categories.

I actually liked the second episode more for Bateman. Am I the only one? It was hella intense and the montage at the end was superb.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

I also thought that the second episode was better than the first, but last year Bateman also directed the first two episodes and he submitted the first one to the Emmy. So I suppose he must repeat the strategy this year.

Looks like someone stole my Yvonne Strahovski argument up there, lol, which I’ve been reiterating for weeks now. But hey, more Strahovski predictions, the better it is.

Having such a newcomer with no name recognition win in this category would be pretty unprecedented, even if he is giving an impressive performance in a series front runner. Corey Stoll in season one of HOC comes to mind…

That said, I am still pretty stumped.

I think I will keep Banks in as a placeholder just for now and wait until I see how things shake out on nomination morning before making more moves in this category.

I currently have Crudup winning, but it is such an open field right now. I would love to see Pelphrey, Harbour, and Culkin possibly win. If the TV Academy really goes all in for Succession, then maybe Matthew Macfadyen could get in.

Also maybe Josh O’Connor for the Crown. I haven’t finished S3 yet, but I have heard really good things about his performance.

He was my MVP of season 3 but he’s not winning. He might not even get nominated.
