Is this year really competitive in Lead Actor?

It’s probably the emptiest of the drama acting categories, but it’s much stronger than last time.

You’re completely ignoring my point. All I’m saying is that Madden was more than highly predicted to get nominated at this point last year however y’all aren’t totally convinced about Cox getting in.

And you’re completely missing my point. Madden was never the frontrunner like Cox is. I don’t know how high his numbers were around this time last year, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t as good as Cox’s right now, given he has 1,042 people predicting him to be nominated, and 798 predicting him to win. Even by the end of the nominations predictions last year, Madden didn’t even have half as many people predicting him to win.

Yeh? This year is filled with hypothetical nominees however at the same time last year we were sure about 5 of the 6 actual nominees. I don’t think this year is any stronger.

I don’t see how you think this sentence helps your argument. A year with more hypotheticals is definitely stronger than a year where everyone agrees on the same five men getting in.

It’s also the reason why I think Westworld actors aren’t getting snubbed, they’re most of them sure values and depending on how they’re placed, it’s still manageable for them to get nominated.

You know if you are moaning about other people’s predictions all the time then you should make your own so we can all have a nice and friendly discussion otherwise some might think you’re being abusive and trolling.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

Lol, thank for you this. It’s getting tiring having to defend your predictions against someone who is just dishing it out without giving us a chance to dish it back.

I just died laughing. The childishness made me laugh.

Do me a favor everyone: report spam and just ignore it. No need to lose brain cells and waste time on something like that.

Where are Peppermint Patty and Marcie?

Riley, you think Mr. Robot could get a writting nomination? Sadly will not get the deserved recognition even being the best series of this Emmy season, but since it was nominated by WGA, I will be happy if it receive a nomination.

Mr. Robot is not getting an Emmy nomination for writing. Chow is deluded.

As I am not predicting it and do not even have it in my top ten, I think that he was asking if I think that it can, not questioning my having it.

That WGA episodic category definitely gives us false hope sometimes.  The final season of The Leftovers also got into that category.

I’m new to Ozark and I’m loving Garner, she’s definitely a deserving winner from last season and Ruth is a brilliant character. That said, I personally think Dern and Streep delivered material none of the other predicted supporting nominees got the chance to even come close to on their respective shows. I hope that BLL airing over a year ago come the Emmys doesn’t go against it but that’s got to be inevitable.  I think it’s so random that HBO chose to air it weeks after consideration. They obviously didn’t want it to go up against Thrones, but they dug it a deeper grave than that. Had it aired in the winter, it and it’s actors would not be “maybes” for nominations.

I thought she balanced the lunacy of Renata perfectly with her insecurity. She was almost (intentionally) cartoon like at times, but I always felt sorry for her in the sense that covering up a murder with a group of women who didnt even like her was what it took for her to develop actual friendships. And the quieter, more genuine moments like when she tells Gordon at Amabella’s birthday parties that he has ruined everything she spent her life building were brilliant.

Plus, taking off down the highway giving the middle fingers out of the side window and sun window is a tough feet to top.

Edit: Jesus, my spelling is atrocious on my mobile.

I’m left with the final two episodes of Ozark and it is most definitely their best season so far. But what I want to really talk about is Tom Pelphrey. He’s been amazing all season but my God, what he did in episode 8 broke me. It is the best acting I’ve seen this entire Emmy cycle and I’ve never cried for a man on TV like that (except maybe Jack Pearson). Anyways, he’s definitely the best in his category and deserves not just a nomination, but to win.

Does two previous daytime wins (2006 and 2008) helps tom pelphrey at all?

At this point, I hope ozark gets fleabag treatment

Fleabag and Ozark could not be more different awards-wise

that’s what wishful thinking means lol i was just talking about a bunch of nominations in acting  and directing/writing categories, not wins.
