That’s debatable, considering it’s said to be one of Netflix’s most popular show in the US, even above shows like Black Mirror.

The only comparable numbers we have are IMDb voters.

Both shows are on their third seasons and one of them is more easily accessible than the other.

    Total # of voters:

    Westworld – 383,427

    Ozark – 127,094

That is more than three times the popularity, though right now WW is #1 and Ozark is #4 on their popularity meter.

I have 2 of that show’s actors getting in due to ties, which is more than it deserves. It is not an empty field anymore, they’ll be competing with shows much better and beloved than them.

And there are still more than 3 months until nominations I’m gonna have my fun predicting “out there” nominees, like Lange, Holly Hunter, Mark Duplass, Mbatha-Raw etc., not everyone wants to be boring and go with the odds’ top 6 this early.

Anyone who doesn’t have Ozark in series, lead actress, lead actor and supporting actress at worst is trolling at this point. That’s just your bias showing.

You guys saying Westworld isn’t loved by the actors because the SAG snub but last time it was eligible receive 5 nominations (9 in total) in acting categories and Newton won..

People here are also underestimating Handmaid’s although it got 8 actors in the last time it was properly eligible. And last year it went 2 for 2 in the only races it was eligible for. Plus, it’s gotten in for SAG ensemble three times. It’s not just Westworld people are underestimating.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

Absolutely, but Ozark seems to be a very USA show, while Westworld’s imdb ratings can be inflated by international users.

The way you say it is as if the SAG snub is irrelevant. Had Westworld aired last year and missed at SAG this year I could totally understand the possibility that it is being underestimated because this year had such a crowded field. The fact is that Westworld (as much as I love it) missed at SAG for both ensemble and Drama Actress in probably one of the weakest years for SAG ever. Robin Wright (whose season of House of Cards experienced worse acclaim in comparison to WW S2) and Julia Garner (who at that point was an unknown supporting actress in a show snubbed for Drama Series at the Emmys) got in over both Newton (who had been nominated for Season 1 and won the Emmy) and Wood. I mean it’s even possible This is Us is above Westworld, it did after all win at SAG. For sure people who are predicting Newton to be ahead of Garner are delusional.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

Since the 2018 Emmys, literally every other series-competitive drama has shown to have more actor support than Westworld, besides Succession.

Westworld is my crack cocaine, but it’s pretty clear that a lot of people aren’t into it. It’s never going to have the respectability of The Crown because some will find it pretentious or nonsensical, and it’s not the crowd pleaser that Ozark or Succession is. The show is dark, brooding and philosophical, absorbed in esoteric complexity; Jonathan Nolan’s own brother is a perfect example of how those sorts of stories don’t play very well with Academy voters. I think its cast is being underestimated, but there’s a very real chance it gets a lot of tech nominations and is almost entirely shut out of the main categories. The CrownOzark, and Succession are locks, Better Call Saul is just behind them, The Handmaid’s Tale and Big Little Lies are Emmy darlings with massive support from the acting branch, and The Morning Show is exactly the type of show you can bet Emmy voters will go for regardless of critical reception (which increasingly warmed as the season went on). That’s seven already: This Is Us and Stranger Things are still in contention, both nabbing SAG Ensemble over Westworld, once when the show wasn’t even nominated. None of those shows have ever missed a series nomination, and Killing Eve just hit its Emmy stride last year. Then there’s the chance HBO pushes The Outsider, which could even further detail support for Westworld. Not to mention the possibility that voters don’t actually like the shift that the show has taken, which might alienate fans of past seasons. It’s my favorite show on TV, but there are so many factors against it this year.

I stand corrected then, thanks for the clarification.

Yet people will continue to write it off as being a flop, lol. Praise be. It’s coming.
