Well well… here we go again.

Let’s talk about Killing Eve for a second. Harriet Walter is so bad or is it only me?

I blame the material. So far It’s non-existing but I think she’s solid.

she’s horrible, over the top and not funny (just like Jodie Comer but y’all aren’t ready for this conversation)

We aren’t ready because there’s nothing to talk about…

I blame the material. She had nothing to work with so far but I think she’s solid.

I think they’re trying to make her role similar to Villanelle… but a bit mature and it just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe I hate her role/ character more than I hate her performance.

Anyways… after two episodes. Sandra Oh>> Jodie Comer. The season has 61 on Metacritic and 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. That’s not good. Will it go from six noms at the main ceremony to… one?

Yeah I also don’t like the character that much but we’ll see if she improves. So far I also find Sandra superior but again I blame the material. But according to the reviews Comer owns the season so we should expect her to improve in the next episodes. It seems episode 5 will be all about Villanelle so that should be really interesting in terms of material for Jodie.

Regarding Its Emmy chances I really don’t know. I have to finish the season to come up with any kind of predictions. So far I only have Jodie getting in but we’ll see.

    I’m still predicting Jodie anyways.

I think if there are eight nominees then Jodie and Sandra both get in. The thing is I currently have Witherspoon in sixth place because I think that after Kidman (who isn’t that safe but I think she comfortably gets in), Moss, Linney, Colman and Aniston, any of Davis, Comer, Oh, Witherspoon and even Wood can be the sixth nominee.

Is there anybody who has seen all of Ozark Season 3 who doesn’t think Tom Pelphrey’s performance was the best of any potential supporting actor nominee? Whether or not he’s likeliest to win is a different conversation due to the nature of awards; I’m simply talking about acting performance alone.

This was, to me, a powerhouse performance and one of the best I’ve seen in recent memory. I love Jonathan Banks and love Mike Ehrmantraut, but I’ve never been blown away by his performance like I was with Tom’s

If Tom Pelphrey is nominated, then he will win and it will be richly deserved. He did his thing.

The last time that I was truly blown away by a supporting actor performance would be Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad and Zeljko Ivanek from Damages. The overall best for me would be Larry Drake from season 2 of L.A. Law and he won the Emmy.

Halfway through Ozark’s second season and the show’s definitely grown. More ensemble focused rather than the beginning where it was very Bateman centric. Linney’s now more of a co-lead than the more borderline leading role she was in the first season, which is good as I’m currently more interested in Wendy than Marty, although Marty’s grown on me more as the show goes on. Garner’s win was well deserved, she’s a total scene stealer and brings great sympathy to a role that originally looked like it could be more one dimensional (as most trailer trash characters are). Not really loving the series so far, but I definitely like it more now, and from what I understand, the third season is by far the best, so I’m looking forward to it.

After Season 1 I thought Ozark was a show that tried to take elements from Breaking Bad and Fargo and mash them together and ended up with a cheap knockoff. After Season 2 I thought it made some good improvements but still wasn’t sold and thought it was still overrated. Then I saw Season 3 and now I think it’s rock-solid and borderline great. Keep watching my friend

Ozark’s one of those shows that’s just getting better and better. I actually liked Season 1 better than most, but I suspect it’s mostly because I’m a big fan of Jason Bateman in general. Then they started using the ensemble more (Linney, Garner) in season 2 and that was a smart move because these women are compelling. Season 3 is straight up exhilarating and amazing; of all the potential Best Drama Series nominees (and I’ve seen most of them), Ozark is by far and away my favourite.
