Witherspoon’s performance was criticized for being inferior compared to what she delivered a few months prior on BLL (and now on LFE) but it wasn’t panned, except maybe her delivery in the riot scene of the series premiere, which most people blamed on the writing. Personally, I think Aniston has such a better performance because her character is more interesting and better written. I think Witherspoon’s character was one of the worst thing about the show because I feel like the writers didn’t really know what to make of her at the beginning. She is supposed to be some kind of savior and moral compass on the show but it never really feels genuine. She does get better as the show progresses but still pales in comparison to Aniston/Alex (which is not the case in either BLL or LFE).

Wow… interesting because I found the Alex character very boring and uninteresting. Bradley, Cory, Charlie, Hannah and others were far more likeable to me. I always found Alex to be “i’m so tired… i’m so tired… i’m so tired”, breathing heavily, touching her face like “oh I need to breathe” and being annoyed or angry in 80% of her scenes.

Reese Witherspoon has a Golden Globe nom for TMS, nothing else, she’s not happening for this, neither she is for BLL 2 cause she was completely snubbed everywhere.

Want to know who was snubbed everywhere too? Evan Rachel Wood! If you’re using Reese being snubbed by SAG for an individual nom as a reason why she’ll be snubbed then use it for Wood as well.

At least both Reese’s shows still have signs of being popular with actors (The Morning Show getting three SAG nominations and Big Little Lies getting a SAG ensemble nomination), something Westworld does not have.

FYC Emmys : Jodie Comer ("Killing Eve"), Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials"), Russell Tovery ("Years and Years"), Helena Bonham Carter ("The Crown") & The Crown, His Dark Materials, Years and Years, Succession and The Affair in all categories. The Politician : Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler and Judith Light.

FYC Goldderby Awards : MAURA TIERNEY AND DOMINIC WEST FOR THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AFFAIR

I’m starting to think the cast of Westworld killed one of your family members.

My problem with TMS is that it took itself too seriously. It was great when it focused on its main subject matter (which I don’t have to spell out), but it lost me when they tried to be topical, like with the LA fires episode, which I found unwatchable. Of course, since the show is about a morning show, there was no way around this, but I disliked how they executed it. I don’t like how people who criticize the show are often called misogynists on the internet, because you can have issues with it without being anti-female. For instance, I found anything that was actually related to its core topic endlessly fascinating (anything related to Alex, in particular), but whenever it didn’t focus on it, I found the show glaringly messy and borderline cheesy. Witherspoon, as phenomenal an actress she is, was miscast. The finale made up for a lot, but I still don’t think the show as a whole is worthy of anything other than a Best Drama Actress nom/win for Aniston.

With that said, the reason I’m not predicting it for drama series is completely unrelated to my opinion. But, as I’ve already explained it a million times, I won’t now 🙂

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

I saw that Jude Law is being submitted for Supporting Actor in The New Pope. I know that his chances are far-fetch but I wanna know what you guys think about it? Is there any potential for him even in the slightest chance?

I also just saw that and it seems as a strategic move to me.

The only people doubting Pelphrey are those who haven’t seen his performance.

I am on episode 7 of The Crown. I hope that Josh O’Connor is rightfully submitted to Guest because he is credited to be in 4 episodes per IMDB and episode 6 would be a killer submission for him.

shouldn’t he be in guest anyways. I thought you have to appear in at least 50 percent of the season to be consider in the supporting category. He’s only in 4 and is missing one episode to be qualify in supporting

There’s no episode limit to qualify for supporting, only for guests.

I was previously hoping for O’Connor to go Supporting, but given the competition seems pretty stiff there, I’d be fine with him going into Guest. However, I’m fairly certain Netflix will make him go into Supporting, as The Crown is already the frontrunner in Guest due to Dance, and I also think Jacobi has a good shot at a nomination there too.

I’m not taking Lithgow too seriously as he only had a single short scene, and given The Crown’s success with acting, I think more voters will go for Dance and Jacobi rather than name check Lithgow.

Josh O’Conner would probably be a lock if he submitted in guest.

If the Crown really is going to be as strong as we predict it to be, there’s no reason why O’Connor should miss. He’s an essential part of this season and quite honestly, sticks out just as much as fellow male regular Tobias Menzies, who’s competing in lead. O’Connor being snubbed would quite honestly surprise me. I think it’s far more likely that someone like David Harbour doesn’t make it.
