<p style=”text-align: left;”> </p> I know a number of people passionately disagree but I love Shaw in Killing Eve. She’s not my personal pick to win but if that does happen, I don’t think she’s nearly as undeserving as is being made out.
I really enjoy her. I just enjoy others in this category more. She’s a really great member of the Eve cast. I think the result that I would the most frustrating would be a Shaw Supporting Win with a Lead loss on a vote split. Comer/Oh and Shaw would be cool but I simply don’t think Shaw coming out of the night as the sole Emmy winner would be reflective of Killing Eve because Oh and Comer are so prominent. Shaw herself would agree – she is not a Dinklage standout character. She’s great, but she’s not a bombastic standout support that is outstarring the leads.September 22, 2019 at 4:39 am #1203091945
Arya tooSeptember 22, 2019 at 5:36 am #1203091997
Yara? Brienne? The fact that people will believe anything. My god.
To be fair, power is subjective. Yara was and continued to be a powerbroker (I like Gemma Whelan. She would have been a good guest submission) Brienne ended up with far more power than anyone would ever have predicted @ season start. Are you only powerful if you are Queen or King? If that’s so, why hasn’t anyone started the Isaac Hempstead-Wright for an Emmy campaign?September 22, 2019 at 5:48 am #1203091999
Whether she wins or not, I just want to honor the queen one last time! This will be one of the last times we talk about Cersei Lannister and Lena Headey’s performance in detail, so yeah. LONG MAY SHE REIGN!
this makes me sad. I have a bad feeling about tonight for Lena. Win or not she is the best Cersei we could have ever wished for. A legend foreverSeptember 22, 2019 at 5:55 am #1203092001
Just put a super bet on Lena winning if she loses that’s going to be the worst decision made by Academy voters ever but if she wins I’m going to brag about it for a while.September 22, 2019 at 6:04 am #1203092011
I think I’m gonna place my superbet on Fiona Shaw. I was predicting Julia Garner but my gut urged me to switch to Fiona like it did last year with Claire Foy and Thandie Newton lol.September 22, 2019 at 6:36 am #1203092050
Lena Headey backstage interview appreciation society:
(5.48) “What is it like dressing for / walking the red carpet?
Lena: I just think these shoes really fucking hurt and this is all a bit bonkers. I don’t have anything else to say.
Edit: Shout out to Maisie Williams drinking a frappe the whole time.September 22, 2019 at 7:04 am #1203092108
Yeah I put my super bet on Fiona Shaw aswell. I never bought Julia Garner.September 22, 2019 at 7:08 am #1203092115
Nikolaj liked a post on Twitter from someone saying that Lena Headey is going to win.
I don’t think he knows anything, but it’s nice to know he is rooting for Lena anyway.
I’m rooting for her too.September 22, 2019 at 7:09 am #1203092117
alright, I’m gonna change it to Fiona, but I’m having a hard time to imagine that KE will win two awards tonight. Tho tbf, acting was never an issue on this show.September 22, 2019 at 7:17 am #1203092128
