Even though I’m pretty sure that Shaw is winning, I’m just going to switch back to Headey just for the spirit of only being able to predict her one last time. Can’t wait to be disappointed.

I am not ready for Lena to lose tonight. I will be so disappointed. We better give her that Supporting Actress of the decade award.

Emmys FYC - "Unbelievable" and "The Handmaid's Tale" in all categories; Viola Davis in Best Drama Actress for the final season of "HTGAWM;" "Ozark:" Drama Series, Laura Linney (Best Actress) and Julia Garner (Best Supporting Actress)

    Let’s have the feels guys.

    Julia is a worthy winner.

Lena not ever winning is a tragedy.

I feel my unbridled Gwendoline confidence was proven by that crowd roar when the Thrones cast were on stage

Mess lol. Lena obviously deserved but Julia is great too.

Y’all should have been more prepared for Headey being emmyless. I mean, it was pretty obvious since like 2015 that they’d never give her an emmy. You guys had years to accept it.

The vote-split was very real, Garner won like she was always going to, and the world continues spinning on.

That profile pic, kellis. Taste. Bitch brought it!

Julia is a great young talent. At the end it’s not a matter of this year, but let’s this just sink in:

No actress in GoT won an Emmy in 8 years.

    Fucked up.

I agree with this. Her best arc was for season 5 (with a great submission for season 6) and when that Emmy didn’t happen, well, time for acceptance.

The fact that nobody at all but Dinklage won an Emmy slays me. NCW, Alfie Allen, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams, Michelle Fairley, etc. all gave amazing performances over the course of the show and went empty-handed.

It doesn’t matter but I wonder what we would’ve seen had Christie not self-submitted. During the segment when they were all on stage, Christie had more applause than anyone, even Emilia. I feel like as shitty as it is, the passion for Headey and Williams just isn’t there, and the category was Garner’s to win since nominations.

The fact their characters were ruined didn’t help. From all female characters, only Brienne was more consistently written.

I have said this before and I will say it again -(though she is wonderful in the rest of the season, too) – Cogman’s A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms is lovely. That is what they should have submitted.

That fireplace sequence – Tormunds story followed by Brienne’s knighting followed by Podrick’s song is some of the best writing, acting and directing I’ve seen all year. In isolation it is probably one of the sweetest, most feel good, melancholy GoT episodes ever. And strangely feminist.
