The Good Fight had only nomination for “Music and Lyrics”, it’s sad. Alan Alda and Margo Martindale deserved nominations for their guest roles.

This year is very wide open unlike last year IMO. I think Diana Rigg is the only lock!

The Handmaid’s Tale, Matthew Rhys, Elisabeth Moss, David Harbour, Vanessa Kirby, Cameron Britton, Samira Wiley

So I have Game of Thrones being shit out at the main ceremony at the moment and I’m not sure I’m comfortable with that.

I don’t agree with you – she lost to Margo Martindale for her 2 minutes screentime on The Americans. She is definitely the frontrunner, but I won’t be surprised if Wiley or Jones win.

    Writing or Directing?

I´m going with The Handmaid’s Tale, Sterling K. Brown, Elisabeth Moss, David Harbour, Yvonne Strahovski, Matthew Goode and Diana Rigg. But I´m confident enough to say that the only nearly lock here is Moss.

I actually don’t think there are any locks here at all. In fact, the only one across the acting categories is probably Rachel Brosnahan.

Handmaid’s for directing and The Americans for writing.

I wish The Crown just got the one editing nomination so I can predict it to upset for series.

EDIT: I liked this on accident

Yeah I have the same but tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if Thrones won either category.

I’m hopeful The Crown can upset somewhere big in the build up to winning series in a few years. I’m tentatively predicting Kirby at the moment.

It’s going to be boring if The Handmaid’s Tale sweeps in every category again.

Exactly what I say, especially with this season that absolutely doesn’t deserve all that

Lead actress and Supporting actress are two of the best categories ever at the Emmys, the 13 actresses are beyond incredible and they all would be a deserving winners. I am really happy that I predicted Strahovski, Kirby and Maslany, because they are all truly exceptional, as well as the deserving snub for Davis, who is not as good as the others in this particular role. I think that Moss is going to win, she has 10 tapes, she can win with any of the 10 episodes, her rage is unlimited, she is the Julia Louise Dreyfus of Drama, but it is not a lock, Russell is incredible, she has many great tapes as well, same as Foy, and they have their last chance for that roles, so is Maslany, she can win easily with the final episode where she has a lot of great scenes with herself. Oh is too comedic to win (maybe she is going to pick episode 5 where she has a lot of comedy as well, laso I agree with most fans that Comer has the better character) and Wood is not a real lead compared to the others, also I believe that she is going to pick the finale where Tessa Thomson is the real MVP.

In supporting it’s a blood bath, all of them have tapes, all of them are great choices, but if someone put a gun on my head, I would choose Strahovksi, because she has more good tapes and more screen time than the others.

It deserves every single award, it would be very deserving. If The Americans win screenplay and drama lead actor, and THT wins everything else, it´s going to be perfection.
