Unless Arrestted Development comes out soon and has acclaim, Will & Grace seems safe in that seventh slot. The back half of the show has a ton of buzz and acclaim. In fac, I’m wondering if it might actually be in sixth place at this point, with black-ish in seventh. Maybe if AD gets in it’ll be at black-ish’s expense.

Even with acclaim I think Arrested Development stll probably misses, if only due to the Tambor/Cross controversy. At most I could see Jason Bateman and maybe directing or writing. Will and Grace is definitely growing in buzz, I have it behind black-ish for now, but wouldn’t be surprised if you were right and it’s ahead. Makes me wonder if Tracee Ellis Ross is vulnerable to losing her spot to Debra Messing.

Just heard that Jeff Daniels will be lead for Looming Tower and supporting for Godless. Very smart to not split his own vote in one category.

    oops, some1’s winning an Emmy

He did go from danger of being snubbed to being win-competitive.

    2017 ratings: 3.0 high (premiere), 2.0 average, 1.6 low
    2018 ratings: 1.4 high (premiere), 1.2 average, 1.0 low
Basically, it has been bleeding continuously over the season.

So much for my hope of Scoot McNairy getting a nom.

It is tough judging the limited series race this year.  I have seen one episode of Waco, one of Howards End, one and a half of Electric Dreams, two of The Terror and three of The Looming Tower and do not really want to watch more of any of them.  But something has to get nominated.

Honestly American Vandal is the only limited series worthy of a nomination.

I beg to differ. The Looming Tower is great, topical TV worthy of multiple acting nominations, and some crafts too. Seven Seconds is a timely anthology series that is also driven by it’s performances — all worthy of recognition. (I’m starting American Vandal today)

At this point there would be huge fallout not to include her when HBO doesn’t have their queen to push.

I think neither Jordan nor Shannon will get in for Fahrenheit. The movie might get in for best tv movie, but I don’t think it’ll have any acting noms. As for Ricky Martin, I think he has great potential to get snubbed; the TV academy isn’t keen on embracing non-actors.
