If I’m not wrong, there was a similar thread last year, but couldn’t find it.
The Hollywood Reporter – Feinberg’s Final Predictions
Vanity Fair – 2020 Predictions; A bunch of people are predicting different categories and some of them aren’t up to date with the latest rules, so they have six nominees for Drama Series and both drama supporting races, but eight for Comedy Series and five for the supporting comedy races. Mess.
Los Angeles Times – Predictions for the top races
Awards Watch – Final Drama, Comedy and Limited Predictions
IndieWire has been predicting this year’s Emmys since March, but they don’t have “official” final predictions.
Discuss and share other predictions.

Vanity Fair’s predictions are an embarrassment.

ReplyCopy URLJuly 25, 2020 at 4:54 pm #1203602742LMAO I googled Emmy predictions and found a prediction that Shalhoub would get snubbed and got worried but then I realised it was E! and they were predicting 4 nominees and Sean Hayes to get in over him lol.

LMAO at them not even considering Stranger Things and predicting Killing Eve over it. Also whilst Years and Years and Quiz would be nice surprises in the Limited race there’s no point mentioning them if you aren’t going to include Normal People as a serious contender. Same thing in Comedy if you have Black-ish ahead of The Great.
Also LMAO at their listing for Supporting Actress Drama :
Helena Bonham Carter, “The Crown”
Laura Dern, “Big Little Lies”
Ann Dowd, “The Handmaid’s Tale”
Julia Garner, “Ozark”
Thandie Newton, “Westworld”
Fiona Shaw, “Killing Eve”
Sarah Snook, “Succession”
Meryl Streep, “Big Little Lies”Could also be nominated: Laura Dern, “Big Little Lies,”

That same person also made a video about Lead Actress contenders and didn’t even mention Linney 🤨

But also most biased, right?

I didn’t say everyone on this forum! But I do think the endless discussion here allows for more plausible prognosticating, especially as a lot of users are aware of voting patterns/trends. Some of the other publications often seem very clueless when predicting, while others haven’t even taken the new rules into consideration.
