Lol, the directors love to fuck with us. First Paterfamilias, then Reparations and now Hunting? I give up predicting this category, lolol.

I believe they watched it but yes she mostly did NOT win for S3 which is why I said she was a lazy namecheck à la Borstein last year. It happens…

Or maybe people actually like her performance.

Well, 73% and 25th place. I am good. Had I stuck with Unorthodox in directing and Billy in supp. actor, well…

Damn Luca. Redemption for your nomination score. I’m at 33rd place.

The directing categories fucked me up. I cannot imagine how Hunting won. At least I had Unorthdox and Happy Ending at number 2.

Renowned veteran actors are going to have a very, very difficult path winning Emmys henceforward. I said this all along, and today only reinforced my belief.

the thing is, I agree, but then it just makes the Ruffalo Mescal situation all the more confusing.

Linney losing after what she did in Fire Pink is heartbreaking, but with the Pelphery snub and her loss, I’m convinced the actors just haven’t seen season 3 yet. It’s not that unlikely given that many people I know gave up on Ozark after season 1 and never went back.

In any case I can take respite in the fact that she has FOUR Emmys already. And if she had to lose, I’m so happy it is to Zendaya who was mesmerising on Euphoria

If Ozark can sustain its quality, I can see Linney and/or Bateman winning for its last season.

That’s why I hope they really swing for the fences and take risks (within reason). They’re an underdog even when they’re buzzy, and maybe they’ll be able to find some vindication with tighter storytelling and just a teensy bit more action/tension.

Either way, I’m sure they know how much people enjoy their work.
