Picking someone to win — which is the whole point of this website — is NOT the same as saying someone is a lock (i.e. unbeatable, undeniable, etc.).

So I guess you’re wrong there?

No. I know what I was referring to.

Some of the experts are still predicting The Crown and Better Call Saul for writing who’s going to tell them?

It’s great that YOU know what you were referring to. But you’re posting on a website with a bunch of other people who can only go by what you type.

You typed “claim to,” not “voted.” So… Yeah. Anyway.

    And you’re arguing semantics. Bye.

Nah, I’m just arguing for more precise communication. But ok!

After re-watching Succession season 2, these are my final predictions for Drama:

    Outstanding Drama Series:
    Succession

    Outstanding Directing:
Succession (This Is Not For Tears)

    Outstanding Writing:
    Ozark (Fire Pink)

    Outstanding Lead Actor:
    Jeremy Strong

    Outstanding Lead Actress:
    Laura Linney

    Outstanding Supporting Actor:
    Matthew Macfadyen

    Outstanding Supporting Actress:
    Julia Garner

It should honestly be Success and Ozark across the board for the Drama categories.

I honestly think it’s going to be a bloodbath on Sunday, and the only consolation will be the many other victims laying in Succession’s wake.

    Outstanding Writing: Ozark (Fire Pink)

    Bold.

How/when did Jeremy Strong become the frontrunner for Lead Actor? I think he is absolutely phenomenal on Succession, and he would absolutely have my vote. But earlier in the voting season, I feared that Strong and Cox would vote split or that Cox would win because of “Boar on the floor!” How does Strong overcome any vote split?

The general consensus is that there really isn’t anyone strong enough to beat Cox and Strong even if they split votes. Unless you’re from Outlander.

Thanks for the explanation, Rachel! That logic makes a lot of sense. I will be very pleased if Strong indeed wins. His work in “The Return” was one of my favorite parts of season two. 🙂

I love how they highlighted Linney in the casting category so people who haven’t seen her genius performance get a little taste of it.

Best clip of the week. Altho not the best for the “casting” category.

The amount of times I’ve watched that scene.

I haven’t really kept up with the drama commentary this year, and I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to skim 31 pages.

31 pages?  This is part 6!

Oh, I realize that this is part six! I decided earlier that I would only try to skim this thread because it is the most recent. Even that was too much, lol!

Just listened to the new Indiewire podcast about the Drama Series categories, and they mentioned that Billy Porter could actually be the beneficiary of the Succession Lead Actor vote split… are we underestimating him even if his show itself wasn’t nominated? (I assumed Jason Bateman would be the obvious one to benefit from a split but now I’m not so sure)
