Bridgerton in choreography makes sense, the one thing everyone was talking about (before thirsting over The Duke) was the ballroom scenes featuring orchestral covers of modern pop songs.

    Bridgetown

Is it me or is contemporary production design barren af? I can’t think of anything other than The Flight AttendantThe Handmaid’s Tale and I May Destroy You that could plausibly get in.

Maybe The Undoing gets in based on the weakness of the field in spite of flopping at the guild? Mare of Easttown?

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

The Queen’s Gambit are going full Watchmen and have submitted in Main Title Design (in spite of there not really being a big title sequence) and Original Music and Lyrics (I can’t recall an original song but I assume it will be one like the Maisel one last year).

the only song I can remember is Beth’s Story. It’s a beautiful instrumental

Praying for Servant to get in. The production design is really good. That house gives me goosebumps. It would go half hour, of course.

The Queen’s Gambit actually has a great original song that is performed in the show. I interviewed Bill Horberg, who is the executive producer who has been making all of the acceptance speeches, but also the writer of the song. He told me all about how they came to make it, which you can watch late in the video at the top of this article or read about at the bottom of its write-up.

Also just discovered those orchestral covers of pop songs are pre-existing covers and arrangements.

Coming for that Music Supervision nom.

Between The CrownBridgerton and The Queen’s Gambit, Netflix is going to dominate that music supervision category.

If The Serpent gains steam I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being Netflix’s fourth music supervision nominee as well.

The Queen’s Gambit too, considering how important the Costumes are for the main character in the plot.

    The Crown flopping..

Since they didn’t even nominate the previous season anywhere, I’ll take the nominations as the win lol.

Very difficult to tell how well I May Destroy You will do below the line. Casting feels likely and I have it in Contemporary Costumes because it made the guild and that category is empty but I’m not sure about everything else.
