The Crown has won Costume for the first three seasons, can’t believe will lose this year.

It won for the first two only. Season 3 lost to The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

I actually don’t mind the idea of The Crown losing some of the technicals to The Queen’s Gambit. I did like the commitment of the craftspeople of The Crown in visually recreating history and what they did this season in adapting the visuals with the rapidly changing styles of the time period. However, I felt that The Queen’s Gambit quite cleverly utilised its visuals and its costumes and editing in pushing forward the narrative it was presenting. Whilst I absolutely adored this season of The Crown and find it sweep worthy, outside of the cinematography, editing and music, the craft felt a little underwhelming for some reason this season? Maybe

I hope The Queen’s Gambit also takes music supervision although The Crown would also be a worthy winner if The Queen’s Gambit loses that award (which is probably unlikely).

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

    Same as the Emmys.

Normal People also won. What We Do in the Shadows is making gains.

Star Trek: Picard – “Et in Arcadia Ego, Part”

The Queen’s Gambit was up against shows like The Boys, Raised by Wolves and Westworld, in which the sound is really showy.

Glad that Servant won something. 2:00 was an incredible episode and I’m low key wishing for a Emmy nomination for M. Night Shyamalan in Directing.

The Queen’s Gambit is the first show or film to sweep all three of Music, Dialogue and Effects categories in a single year I think. Even Game of Thrones, which had wins in all three, never achieved that. It’s probably gonna have the biggest guild sweep ever. People still think something can beat it at the Emmys?

Titanic is the only film to win all three categories at MPSE.

The fact that only Breaking Bad S5b ever achieved that combo tells you everything.

And HBO really thought True Detective S1 could really beat it, lol.
