Schitt’s really had an amazing run in this final season <3

Ted Lasso is gonna do really great at the Emmys.

Also, which guilds/awards has already The Mandalorian won?

This season two wins at VFX guild, one win at the Make Up guild and two categories at MPSE.

The way The Mandalorian has been tanking hard with the Guilds. Anyone entertaining the idea of a possible upset over The Crown, well…

I got Chicago 7 right on the film side, but bombed on the TV side. Couldn’t be happier for Better Call Saul’s win, but it surprised me they didn’t go with two-time ACE winner Killing Eve. Not sure why the support for The Mandalorian is fading, though. It seemed to be doing well. I was also pretty sure they won’t default to Schitt’s Creek, but they did. The most interesting win is Ted Lasso overcoming vote-splitting and defeating the Emmy winner. And The Queen’s Gambit is indeed unbeatable. I’m wondering if the passion will disappear before the Emmys.

The Queen’s Gambit just won Cinema Audio Society for Sound Mixing. I mean, it will win Cinematography tomorrow and have a perfect track record of 1 win at all guilds. Has this ever happened before?

The only places TQG lost were SAG (actor), CC (supporting actress) and that Make-Up Award (or was a Hairstyling one) at the Guild. WOW, I mean, WOW!

I can really see WandaVision pulling a Watchmen and just absolutely slaying the Creative Arts Awards (at least getting a BUNCH of noms) – between music, effects, costumes, main title, I expect WV to do very well here.

My guess is that WV and TQG will battle it out during the creative arts emmy’s. hard to tell because I don’t assume WV wasn’t eligible due to its release.

    FYC:

Best Screenplay: Never Rarely Sometimes Always (Eliza Hitman)
Best Actress: Sidney Flanigan ("Never Rarely Sometimes Always")

They won make-up but lost hairstyling.

The fact that only Breaking Bad S5b ever achieved that combo tells you everything.

It’s a good series but nowhere near the quality of Breaking Bad so this is.. 🥴

This year is also worse than 2013 (in every aspect, especially in TV industry). Guilds cannot help themselves when what they’re served are only a few successful series. One can only hope for the next half of the year.

We would’ve loved to see the best seasons of Game of Thrones and The Good Wife win things too.
