December 5, 2020 at 5:38 pm #1203897138Season 1 of Mandalorian was way better than S3 of Killing Eve and S3 of Handmaid’s Tale tho.
Season 2 is even better for now, not better than The Crown S4 but close enough.
December 5, 2020 at 6:03 pm #1203897184I think a big reason Holly Hunter didn’t get in was because she is such a big name that people viewed her as more of a guest star rather than an integrated member of the cast. This mindset was amplified by the fact that her arc was over by the end of the season. I don’t think Julianna Marguiles will be hurt as much by this.
December 5, 2020 at 6:06 pm #1203897198I honestly think that Marguiles would be a better fit on The Mandalorian
They use a lot of green screen over there.December 5, 2020 at 6:24 pm #1203897207Drama Series

DEAD: P-Valley, RatchedWouldn’t exactly call it dead right now but I believe it’s position (vis-a-vie awards) is similar to Mr. Robot & Pose. All three were critically acclaimed summer shows on pay-cable, developed a niche but passionate fan base, gets revived during year end lists / winter award then becomes the “cool” pick going to the Emmys.
December 5, 2020 at 8:09 pm #1203897359DEAD: Chloe Sevigny
imma pretend I didn’t read this slander lol

They use a lot of green screen over there.I died.
Watch how they cast Archie Panjabi next season. No wonder she was in Run lol (gosh that show was so awful that the leads only got my GD awards vote because at least they tried).
FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

Hahahahahaha!
Reminds me of this tweet I saw the other day
December 6, 2020 at 3:22 am #1203897743Season 1 of Mandalorian was way better than S3 of Killing Eve and S3 of Handmaid’s Tale tho.
It was not. There are not deep characters in The Mandalorian, only stereotypes of good and evil. There is not real depth. Outside of that, it is very well acted and a technical miracle

They use a lot of green screen over there. That was a good one 😀

I do believe that the tech and action along with the great performances were better than the shows listed, but everyone has an opinion.

December 6, 2020 at 1:02 pm #1203898617I’m pretty sure The Morning Show will return on time but if it doesn’t then I think we’re almost set for this lineup unless anything shiny and new comes and derails it:
1. Olivia Colman, The Crown
2. Mandy Moore, This is Us
3. Elisabeth Moss, The Handmaid’s Tale
4. Jurnee Smollett, Lovecraft Country
5. Sarah Paulson, Ratched
6. Billie Piper, I Hate SuzieFYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"
December 6, 2020 at 3:43 pm #1203898882I still think that Jurnee Smollett could be a dark horse for the win.
Don’t know why, but i see Lovecraft Country gaining more attention down the road.December 6, 2020 at 3:47 pm #1203898894Lovecraft actually works better (IMO) as a binge watch rather than a week-to-week so it’s definitely possible that it’s gets “discovered” later on.
