The Woman in the window will be classified as a TV movie?

    https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/news/psychological-thriller-the-woman-in-the-window-plot-cast-trailer-and-netflix-release-date/amp/

No, those kind of movies aren’t submitted for Emmys by netflix

It’s a bad strategy because this movie will be ignored by the Oscars but could have some skill for TV awards.

It’s probably a dud since even Disney didn’t want it and sold to it off to Netflix.

Will probably play well in Netflix hate watching way though.

Hmm, Netflix’s “tv movie” nominees are usually just long tv episodes.
But American Son got in tv movie so there’s that.

The Serpent with 2 mixed reviews so far

    https://www.metacritic.com/tv/the-serpent/season-1

Ethan Hawke for "The Good Lord Bird" as Leading Actor in a Limited Series
Elizabeth Olsen and Kathryn Hahn for "Wandavision" as Leading and Supporting actress in Limited Series
Tobias Menzies for "The Crown" as Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
MJ Rodriguez for "Pose" as Leading Actress in a Drama Series.

Lead Actress is killing me. Coel/Erivo/Garner/Mbedu/Olsen/Taylor-Joy seem like an incredibly strong lineup that I have no clue who to take out. Honestly now hoping Inventing Anna misses eligibility because that makes the process much easier.

Oh and I think if Taylor-Joy beats Coel tonight, the Emmy is hers. If Coel is going to win anywhere, it’s at Critics Choice, so if she loses I don’t think it shows that she doesn’t have support, but rather that the drive for Taylor-Joy is just too strong.

    What if they tie?

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

With a tie or even Coel winning outright, I think it puts them about neck-in-neck. I’ll still be predicting Anya, but I’ll be a lot less sure about it.

But that’s assuming Anya also takes SAG. If Coel manages an upset there, which seems unlikely but not impossible, then I’ll probably put Coel at number one.

    What if they tie?

    Wolfali, please! No!!

It’s possible and quite probable though, but they don’t want to see us jaw dropped for for the umpteenth time, do they?

Yeah… sorry Michaela. You’ll be getting your writing trophy but that’s it.

Donald Sutherland just won CC. No winner has ever missed at the Emmys.

Is the writing win even locked? She’s been treated like crap this whole season, why stop now! It’s telling that she’s not even attending any of these ceremonies.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

I don’t think this loss means that much for Michaela. Anya is considered to be the Emmy frontrunner and we know CC wants to predict that. I’m still waiting to see who wins SAG, because this is actually the first time we will know who the industry prefers. Coel has a huge support from people in the industry and I won’t consider an upset impossible just because the CC decided to predict the Emmy frontrunner instead of being inspired.

Who would she lose to though lol?

I mean, there’s no reason Scott Frank couldn’t win if the Emmys go for TQG hard.
