I just finished It’s a Sin, and it was really fucking good. Hoping for dark horse noms for the show. I have a small feeling that Olly Alexander could be this season’s Jharrel Jerome or Billy Porter in which he’s an unsure pick but ends up winning his category. Fucking fantastic, though. That and IMDY have really blown my mind. Still have to watch Mare, Underground, Wandavision, and TQG, too, but damn…there’s some stiff competition this year.

Catching up with contenders this year so I’m starting with Mare of Easttown and all I have to say so far is give Jean Smart all the awards, chile.

I’m also PRAYING that WandaVision tanks. Rooting for basically anyone but Hahn yeah.

When it gets the Maniac treatment (although Maniac shouldn’t have gotten the treatment it received from Emmy voters):

I’m still sullen about Maniac. I mean that show was freaking unique and fantastic only for it to get snubbed entirely 😥

If Michaela doesn’t win writing I will lose faith in humanity.

Actually even acting. I love Kate but she already has an Emmy *and* the winter awards. I’m quite sad nobody is talking anymore about Michaela’s awe inspiring performance in IMDY. She deserves them both.

That Roundtable lineup was so predictable. Happy that MJ is present though. It’s interesting that HBO isn’t represented at all.

    For Your Consideration:

I May Destroy You in all categories
(especially Michaela Coel in Lead Actress and Writing)

Love this suggestion from critic Katie Walsh:

Even though it’s an obvious comparison given that Ingelsby wrote both, it’s good to see that the interest in Mare of Easttown could bring some more attention to American Woman. Like Winslet, Miller also gives a career-high performance. I haven’t seen The Way Back, but apparently Affleck delivers one of his best performances in that too. If Ingelsby is writing the script, you’re getting a great leading performance it seems. He develops his characters well.

Sienna should had been at least nominated at the Oscars for that role.
