It is embarrassing that the TV Academy allows for 8….EIGHT!…actors to make it into their categories. Second year 8 women in supporting actress comedy. MESS!

I’d die if Applegate or Cardellini are nominated

This is cancelled. I just realized Tituss missed.

UKS missed in every major category. I sort of expected it, but poor Tituss, one of the best comedy supporting actors of the decade.

Only because people are too cowardly to suggest otherwise.

BTW I remember all the really smart people on here telling me Moss, Rigg, and Dowd/Yvonne were locks too.

    Fleabag overperformed, it could win.

I’m mad at myself for removing Applegate

Wait….Chlumsky might actually really have a chance at winning. Clifford and Colman vote split, Borstein and Hinkle vote split, Gilpin’s show didn’t make it. That leaves McKinnon, Goldberg, and Chlumsky.

This is without a doubt the best category.

“Barry” basically got everything important plus 2 new nominees. All deserving, congratulations! Fine showing for “The Good Place” even if Kristen Bell didn’t get nominated again.

William H. Macy lost his annual “Shameless” nomination due to Felicity’s scandal. I was surprised to see Don Cheadle nominated but not for “House of Lies”. I didn’t know that one ended and he was in a new show. That’s how he got nominated.

Comedy makes up for some of the questionable Drama nominees.

Adore Fleabags nods – but how does every performer pretty much get nominated EXCEPT Andrew Scott?

Oh well…I can see Colman winning supporting Actress. Imagine her speech.

    1. Mrs. Maisel – 20 nominations
    2. Barry – 17 nominations
    3. Russian Doll – 13 nominations
    4. Fleabag – 11 nominations
    5. Veep – 9 nominations
    6. The Good Place – 5 nominations
    7. Schitt’s Creek – 4 nominations

Mrs. Maisel missing writers’ support worries me but I think it just became the frontrunner over Veep’s incredibly low support. 6/7 of the shows are female-led, it is amazing. To my dismay, Barry is basically tied with Mrs. Maisel thanks to that additional writers’ support.

Pamela Adlon is sublime on Better Things. It really is a shame that they dropped her this year.

Putting D’Arcy Carden to announce nominations and not including her in a 8-slot field was cruel.

I feel the same way 🙁
