Another point proven last night is how weak all the nominated Drama series not named GoT are, not a single win (except for the Succession Theme Music) in technical categories and none were capable of beating Thrones anywhere. Thrones was beat by Black Mirror, Chernobyl, Star Trek and Mrs Maisel and also the un-nominate series The Handmaid’s Tales but not by Succession (who should have won Drama Casting in a landslide), This Is Us, Ozark, Killing Eve, Better Call Saul or Pose…. I don;t think those shows are winning anything next sunday.

This would have been true if everyone was able to vote, but luckily is not the case, every guild is different. Also, like you said, The Handmaid’s Tale beat Thrones in Guest, so it can beat it in Writing or Directing as well. The cinematographers, the actors and the hairstylists showed once again their dislike toward Thrones, there is zero sentimentality coming from them. I really do not see the writers showing any sentiment either. Directors want to reward Thrones, but I am not sure that they will be able to do it. I keep thinking that it will win only Drama, but I am afraid to switch Dinklage.

but I also think “The Iron Throne” is amazing

This is an adjective that I thought I would never seen as description for the writing of that episode…

    Based on the clips:

    1. Linney – no one, and I mean no one, uses the f bomb more effectively than Linney lol

    2. Comer – the range (she still has better clips)

    3. Clarke – she really was genuinely great this last season, great clip

    4. Moore – shame this isn’t last year because she’s easily have the best clip

    5. Davis – she just doesn’t do it for me lol so over the top

    6. Oh – outacted by Comer in her own clip (which is how it is throughout the whole show, so it’s fitting)

    7. Wright – lol what was that

You know,  everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but to those calling Davis’s clip OTT: How would you react if you had just lost your child, then weren’t able to adopt another? I’m genuinely interested.

I think people are just tired of Davis doing the same thing in every role she takes.

This is probably my favorite scene of hers this season. Other than this and her speech she rly didn’t have a lot of baity stuff to do this year. I wish she did tho. She’d be such a fitting winner this year with the vote split.

    Based on the clips:

    1. Moore – Incredible performance, real, raw and breathtaking, she doesn’t need last year’s submission, she is incredible in this one. In this same episode she does the completely opposite of what she does in this clip in several different ways. She can win this, she is a dark horse.

    2. Davis – I strongly think that she does not know the meaning of the word “subtle”, but she was genuinely stellar here, her reaction is completely appropriate and natural in tha situation, many women would have reacted in the same way and even in a more dramatic way, many humans expresses themselves like that in huge moments of pain.

    3. Comer – Phenomenal, people that dislike this clip have not watched the show and they cannot understand the context, the accents trick here is impressive.

    4. Clarke – Great clip, she managed to show all of her fears and desperation about the situation, she did not overreact at all.

    5. Linney – I loved her in The Big C and in many movies and I believe you that she is great in the entire episode, but this clip alone was not impressive, her speech is something that we have watched a billions times – “there is a different path for you”. She is just good.

    6. Oh – outacted by Comer in her own clip, in her all submission, in the entire show. This scene was good in his entirety, but even then Oh is not the stand out.

    7. Wright – I have still not watched the last season of House of Cards and maybe I will never see it after that. It looks like a parody of the show done by SNL.

I think we all agree that Jodie Comer was the MVP of Killing Eve’s second season. I love Sandra Oh, but I have to admit that Comer thoroughly outacted her.

I think, for me at least, it’s just that I see that she’s acting. It’s like “hey, look I’m acting!” But that’s just my personal opinion on it.

Viola would win over Jodie in a cakewalk if this were based on submissions.

MY GOODNESS, I told you all that Viola was the real deal in that episode!! They chose the proper clip! Clips:

    1. Viola Davis (my God, I love her)
    2. Mandy Moore (I forgot that she had a scene this great in her episode)
    3. Laura Linney
    4. Sandra Oh (this was GREAT)
    5. Jodie Comer (who was fantastic in both)
    6. Emilia Clarke (wrong scene; I hated this one)
    7. Robin Wright

Well you could be right but let’s not forget that in the end Jodie has actually Two amazing tapes. Hers and Sandra’s. Viola could have been the winner in the tape system but I don’t think it would have been in a cakewalk.

I have to disagree about Clarke, I don’t think she overacted at all. I mean, the stakes were super high that last season for Dany. She came all that way for the throne and saw it slipping away from her and to someone she loved.

    As for Moore, no.

We saw how uninspired the choices of the acting branch were at the Creative Arts, so I don’t understand why so many people are talking about the acting categories. Better not get our hopes up since all of the winners will probably turn out to be boring AF

    Lead Actress clips

It is really unfair how they gave Comer two clips while everyone else got one.

Cherry Jones was the only uninspired winner what is this overreaction?

Can I just say the most fun nominee/character/performance in this category is Jodie Comer as Villanelle by a long shot. I know it’s drama, but a bit of humor goes a long way). She’s great to watch.
