I 100% agree with this but look at State of the Union. It was originally not nominated in July, and yet it won last weekend. Sometimes the only thing you need to win is to get the nomination.

I can only hope for shockers like a Moore win. That’s my favorite part about awards shows. Glenn Close winning the Globe, Colman winning the Oscar, Newton & Foy prevailing last year – that’s the exciting stuff, even if those winners weren’t always my personal favorites.

She was always winning that, unlike GD and media’s belief.

For conversation sake, if Madden had been nominated would we be calling him a lock, or still Porter a lock, or see it as a two-person race?

Dinklage will probably remain the only Emmy-winning GoT actor on Sunday.

If Madden was in the race, it would’ve been between him and Billy Porter but I still would’ve predicted Billy Porter.

More importantly, why isn’t Madden on the race? there’s 7 nominees in the lead drama actress this year, and he couldn’t even be tied with another nominee to get in? No SAG nomination either. Does he really have all this support from his peers?

What’s weird is that Bodyguard managed to get a series nomination but not a Best Actor Nomination. I’ll never be over that.

I will never get over that Kit Harington was nominated over Richard Madden. NEVER.

ugh that Bodyguard clip gets me pissy all over again that they snubbed Madden.

ETA: Disappointing to watch that Succession clip and remember nobody from this wonderful ensemble got in for an acting nomination. Also why use the same clip for This is Us as a series as they did for Milo’s lead actor?

The GoT clip only reminded me how painful the Cinematography loss is

    MJ Rodriguez snub hurts.

Laura Linney is lowkey serving in this clip… ugh I really don’t know what to do with this category.

Also, ozark’s title card shocked me. What is this?

Hopefully that can change next year. I think the big increase in acclaimed will help them with the nominations.

Well 8 shows got nominated for Best Drama and 6 actors got nominated for Best Drama. I am sure Richard Madden was the 7th actor

A huge disservice to his performance. I am happy atleast Globes acknowledged it

Best Drama Actor category is utterly boring. I can’t care less about it. But Billy Porter winning it will be an Emmy Moment!

Best Drama Actress is lockdown between Oh, Clarke and Laura. Let’s not even pretend anyone else has a chance. They don’t have the hype and strong narrative that the other three have. It’s more or less Sandra’s win but somehow vote splitting happens, then Clarke or Laura (arghh no) might take it.

I really feel Jodie should have given her name for Supporting. She could have easily won that award, paving the way for Oh to win Best Actress
