Well 8 shows got nominated for Best Drama and 6 actors got nominated for Best Drama. I am sure Richard Madden was the 7th actor

6 actors, but from 5 shows. This is us is stronger with actors than Succession and Bodyguard combined.

Best Drama Actress is lockdown between Oh, Clarke and Laura. Let’s not even pretend anyone else has a chance. They don’t have the hype and strong narrative that the other three have. It’s more or less Sandra’s win but somehow vote splitting happens, then Clarke or Laura (arghh no) might take it.

I really feel Jodie should have given her name for Supporting. She could have easily won that award, paving the way for Oh to win Best Actress

Well, wait and see how Comer takes it. And no, Comer does not need to lower herself going to supporting when the entire fan base of Killing Eve see her as the MVP since the pilot. Oh should go there if she wants an Emmy.

Julia Garner potentially winning makes me think Oh and Comer are going to vote split and Linney is going to take this.

She doesn’t have the Academy support the way Oh has

Sandra won each and every award this season. Jodie wasn’t even nominated last year. Comer was amazing this year, maybe the category’s best performance – but that’s not how winners are selected

Jodie Comer in Supporting = game over for everyone else. It would have been one of the biggest category fraud but she would be an Emmy winner on Sunday.

Didn’t Jodie have more time than Sandra Oh this season…? Yeah, I would not be pleased with her in supporting but she’d win in a heartbeat.

I think so. They could have used the excuse of the show being called Killing Eve to justify Sandra Oh as the only lead but no one would have bought that.

Oh is winning. So many people wanted her to win last year, but she wasn’t able to because she was up against the undeniable Moss, Foy, Russell and maybe Maslany too. Ik Comer is arguably better in S2, but they could easily give this year’s Emmy to Oh as make-up for last year and she’s also the only nominated actress from previous years in this line-up that actually has a shot at winning unlike Wright & Davis. Comer will probably win in another year, if the show continues for many more seasons.

    Rightfully so.
AMC/BBCA president was asked about it many times after season one and she always says the same thing: the show has two leads, two strong POV characters.
She was aksed about it again after Jodie’s BAFTA win, and she once again said they will not do it. source

Of course, they might change their minds in the future, but I honestly doubt it.

Many people wanted her to win but more people wanted Moss, Foy, Russel AND Maslany to win? It is a lot of many people.

If Jodie Comer doesn’t win this year, she never will. Sandra can lose this year and win next or any other. Jodie doesn’t have this privilege. It’s her only chance, now or never.

Wow I see that you have Mandy Moore at #1 ?? I know you said she has support but that much?

I didn’t say or imply that half the acting branch wanted her to win. I don’t get the point in ur response.

A 26 year old Caucasian actress has fewer opportunities in Hollywood than a 48 year old Asian actress? Okay then
