I don’t watch Pose so it’s interesting to see that there’s someone who might have a better tape than Sterling K. Brown’s “R&B” which I thought was a brilliant showcase for an actor who has won this category before with a less impressive (in my opinion… but still excellent) tape. In any other year I’d predict multiple SAG nominee Brown to repeat but he faces stiff competition from his co-star, Milo Ventimiglia, who may have an equally impressive episode (with “Sometimes”). His is much more subtle compared to Brown’s showy performance (although he gets to cry in one or two scenes) and I would think he plays a more liked character.

But anyways, narrative usually works better than any tape/ episode submission.

After I wrote that Billy Porter has the best tape I remembered about “R&B”. I almost edited but I decide to don’t because I think both “Love is the Message” and “R&B” are on the same level. But yes, you’re right. And go watch Pose, it’s a great show.

I liked every show that I’ve watched, even GoT, but there is no show that is doing what Better Call Saul did in there 4th season, that is gold tv.

    What I’ve seen…

    1. Succession (this show needs more stans here)
    2. Bodyguard

from what I’ve seen, these are the only two shows that would deserve a nomination in any other year

    3. Killing Eve
    4. This Is Us

Not horrible, but definitely not perfect seasons of tv with some questionable character arcs/writing.

    5. Game of Thrones

A Dexter-level disappointing ending. Legacy of the series tarnished for the near future. Wiped any hope of the show earning GOAT status like it was on track to.

Also, I gotta start my BCS binge…

Like Riley said, it’s pretty sad that such a low-rated TV show will win Best Drama this year when TV is the height of entertainment.

Darlings, here’s why Emilia Clarke is winning the Emmy: 1. The voters clearly jerk off thinking about Game of Thrones. 32 nods. 2. Her performance was a standout. 3. Her competition is pretty weak. Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer could vote split, House of Cards’ last season wasn’t well received, Ozark isn’t too much of a menace and Viola Davis seems like a filler. 4. The Emmys have loved her since season 3, and have nominated her in Supporting even when she didn’t deserve it. 5. She’s been acclaimed by critics. 6. It’s the most mainstream character in the show. 7. Her performance was one of the few things that improved this season. So, Mad Lady Gaga is winning a dildo for her crazy vagina.

    +1

I personally feel like Emilia has a very good shot at snatching an Emmy as well. She honestly is deserving of it and with the competition, she has an excellent opportunity to get this as a send off.

What!??? So by your logic only most watched series deserve to win awards? This is nonsensical. BCS has Breaking Bad label, therefore it’s pure gold. Get real !!! Got was not well received by critics therefore shouldn’t win BDS. I can’t with the delusional stanning, stay objective for God’s sake!

I assumed she meant low rated as in not well liked/reviewed, since GOT is obviously both winning and very highly rated.

Better Call Saul and Jonathan Banks have had their nominations rescinded in the short forms categories due to a rule violation. Didn’t meet the six episode requirements and was replaced by SundanceTV’s “State of the Union” and Ryan O’Connell for “Special”, respectively.

I wonder if this will cause sympathy for the still Emmyless Banks in supporting drama.
