    For GoT submissions,

    Lena – The Bells

Emilia – The Bells or The last of the Starks

Maisie – The Long Night or The Bells

Sophie – A knight of the seven kingdoms or Winterfell

Gwen – A knight of the seven kingdoms

Peter – I’d say A knight of the seven kingdoms but The Iron Throne had emmy bait scene written especially for him so..

Nikolaj – A knight of the Seven Kingdom

Kit – 😐 The Last of the Starks? That speech was good

Alfie – The Long Night or A knight of the seven kingdom

Darlings, Viola Davis is the best actress on her category by far (and her performance, too) but is obvious she isn’t winning again. My question is:

Are the Emmys a popularity contest now?

LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!

Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.

To a certain degree – yes

Amazon proved themselves being a big player, but I wish Homecoming did good. How dare you snub Roberts? I’ve never been a fan of hers, but she was great in this one.

I don’t see Oh winning with Comer nominated. She had her chance when voters didn’t watch the show. I’m actually thinking it’s between Clark and Wright.

Madden missing, but his show being nominated for Series is the weirdest thing. Being in the middle of the ballot is the only reason I can think of why he got snubbed.

Esposito is a proof of my theory that voters don’t care about the show, aka they just keep checking off people from the original show. McKean finally got nominated, but I still support this theory. Allen and Sullivan are the real proof of how disastrous of a wasteland we had in the category.

Killing Eve getting nominations for both writing and directing is something I didn’t see coming at all. I wish it was for the first season though. I don’t get why Shaw got in, but oh well. How did they miss a nomination for costumes?

I’m proud I got Drama Series 7/7 (didn’t have Killing Eve) and Guest Actress 6/6.

I figured it wouldn’t be an anthology show. But, I wanted to know if it would be more like homeland’s first three seasons with Brody.  When it’s completely serialized. Or like homelands season 4 and on. When the story is rebooted each season with the same characters. But, I’m guessing no one knows yet.

This viola nomination just helped confirm to me that she can and will Tatiana maslany her way to a nomination next year even if she’s in like 15th place on the GD odds, as long as the season isn’t panned.

I had the same thought and it also lead me to believe Mandy Moore has a legit shot.

Nobody expected Tatiana Maslany to win when she did. Most experts were predicting Davis repeating or Wright because she was consistently nominated. Last year, everyone predicted Moss and Foy wasn’t even runner-up(I believe Russell was). Another surprise could happen this time. It’s anybody’s game, considering Viola Davis is the biggest star and Laura Linney is an Emmy darling. I see those two as fillers just because they would feel a little… random?

They’re easily going to get 7 nominations in the lead actress drama category next year with all the new blood, and all the returning nominees. It’s going to be brutal,.

Yeah, I remembered the Tatiana Maslany situation immediately when I saw Viola nominated this time. And it’s not even the final season. She probably was 7th last year, maybe 8th if Moore was 7th. And the only reason they were snubbed was the fact that Emmy voters name check shows more than performers(Hi, Evan Rachel Wood), Oh had the most buzz at that time and Maslany/Russell/Foy were all saying goodbye.

I also think that Viola Davis was 7th or 8th last year. I think that Viola’s nomination in Guest Actress for Scandal helped me with this theory. There was support for Viola, but she probably just missed Lead Actress last year.
