What’s the safest thing to do with Patricia Arquette? Predict her to lose both awards but place her at #2? The thing is, I can see Emily Watson or Patricia Clarkson win supporting.

I just don’t see voters going for the act and that’s why I’m going with Clarkson. But perhaps its Watson I should be predicting. Or maybe it really is Arquette, it’s pretty obvious she’s not winning in lead so if voters want to give her an emmy they know which category they need to vote for her in.

If Arquette loses Emmy in leading she’s gonna be the first person ever to lose Emmy AFTER winning both GG and SAG. I’m not sure this is the kind of history you’d like to make…

It’s definitely not, but what’s she gonna do going up against White Michelle? I’m surprised it hasn’t happened before, are you sure on that stat? It just seems like this scenario where a contender who premiered in spring takes the emmy from the winner of the earlier precursors  would have happened before.

I feel like White Williams is winning the lead actress Emmy, then the GG and SAG. Arquette is winning supporting. Clarkson isn’t undeniable, she lost SAG, to Arquette lol.

Imagine Arquette sweeping the supporting miniseries actress awards next year…

I feel so bad for Olivia Cooke, India Eisley and Ruth Wilson. They didn’t stand a chance against category frauds. Even though they gave great performances. Better than frauds, Arquette and Adams. I also feel really bad for Golden Brooks who gave the best supporting performance in TV movie/miniseries of the year. And Ellis should have been nominated but four years ago for her outstanding performance in The Book of Negroes.

I know you love blacks since you have a black husband, but these two shouldn’t be up there. This is insane how they did managed to get in for lead actress.

Michael K. Williams seems to be more of a favorite than Leguizamo and especially Blackk. I think he can overcome vote-splitting, which doesn’t always happen when more than one actor from a show is nominated. Jerome is a very strong contender, and I hope he wins, but Jared Harris is definitely the favorite in Lead.

MKW and Leguizamo are both previous nominees. Leguizamo’s even won an Emmy before. I just feel like neither performance was truly undeniable where voters would gravitate towards one instead of another. I could also easily see Dano, Skarsgard or Whishaw winning too. It’s not like the rest of the nominees are just fillers in that category. They all could have arguments made for them. Blackk is the only one who has no shot.

Back on topic, Williams is clearly winning and I’m perfectly fine with that. But it seems so odd that she’d win a major industry award before Adams lol (poor Damy can’t even win an Emmy).

Amy’s won two Globes and a SAG – for cast. And Williams has won a Globe too actually. Both have won industry awards before.

Globe isn’t industry and SAG is no longer relevant anyway.

Well I meant the top industry awards: the Oscars, Tonys, Emmys. I probably should’ve clarified that lol.

Get real!!!! GG are industry awards. These actors rather win a Globe than a CC. It’s clearly an industry awards, it has always been.

Industry awards are the ones that are voted by members of the industry: the guilds, Emmys, Oscars, etc. Not the Globes or CC, which are voted by critics. But yes, anyone would want to win a Globe vs. a CC (but both are still trash).

I still think Arquette takes it over Williams.
