Now, that I’ve seen every single nominee, my personal pick would undoubtedly be Chernobyl.

Last year I was blew away by The Terror, and this year Chernobyl had the same power. I’m aware that When They See Us looks (for various reasons) like a frontrunner here and I’m ok with them winning some acting categories, because that’s where this show works best, but in Best Limited Series, Writing, Cinematography, Music or Directing, I hope two or three (or all!) of those will go to Chernobyl.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for McKinnon for permanently stopping the ridiculousness that was Allison Janney winning SUPPORTING Emmys for Mom. That may be the worst case of category fraud that has EVER taken place at ANY awards show. Like ever. She was in EVERY scene of her submissions the years she won “supporting” and was a CLEAR co lead with Faris.

Tragically, these games have consequences. If Janney was in the category she belonged than Kate Mulgrew and likely Anna Chulmsky (maybe even Krakowski) would be Emmy winners.

Notice the first year Janney was defeated in supporting she high tailed it to the category she always knew she belonged in.

Darling, I just had a vision… Escape at Dannemora is winning.

I could see it doing better than expected by surprising in either supporting actor (small surprise) or directing (much bigger suprise), but it won’t win limited series.

    I would love that.

Chernobyl is winning Miniseries. When will you learn? Emmys always go for the big, buzzy thing. WTSU’s strongest aspect is acting so it’s winning casting and maybe, maybe 1 acting Emmy, but the rest it’s Chernobyl and other shows taking some acting prizes home. Dannemora is a threat for directing, it’s ahead of WTSU. Underestimate Stiller’s industry support at your own peril.

WTSU is big and buzzy, no? It’s definitely one of the most buzzed about programs of the eligibility period. The actors and Netflix have been campaigning hard. I think it could go either way with it and Chernobyl. Something’s telling me that Chernobyl will do better at the “tech” categories, while WTSU may win an acting category or two + Limited Series.

I just rewatched Patty Clarkson’s episode submission and yup, perfect choice. That scene where she tells Camille that she doesn’t love her is just… wow. I still wouldn’t even put her in my personal top 3, because I don’t necessarily like all the acting choices she made, but I won’t be furious if she won.

Black propaganda will always be buzzy. Chernobyl is winning.

What a racist thing to say…

Her line delivery in that scene is just chilling. ‘You were born to it … that cold nature.’ She’s also really good in the scene at the clothes store although Amy obviously is the centre of attention there. I’m beginning to think this might be quite an easy win for Clarkson.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

It’s even worse when people think saying these factually inaccurate comments is ‘edgy’ when it just reveals them to be uneducated. I’d never want to look willingly stupid. What’s funny is that Chernobyl could easily be framed as anti-Russian propaganda. Thankfully the people that actually matter in this discussion (Emmy voters) will award both shows in multiple categories.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

DONE GUYS. See you in a few weeks. MODERATORS, please get rid of the trolls. I will continue to edit the campaign trail but that is my limit. I’m planning a wedding and I’m becoming a bridezilla so I can’t deal with all these bitchy teenagers. I’m stressed out enough. I will keep you guys updated on the campaigners.

That’s the thing about racists today. They want to be bold and ridiculous, but when you call them out on it they want to feign silliness. Be the racists that your parents and grandparents raised you to be! Stand in it and don’t apologize. And it doesn’t need to be said, but Sasha is back and spewing hate-speech, but she’s “hilarious” and has “intel”.

This isn’t Sasha. She isn’t this dumb or out of touch. This is just a plain old troll faking it.
